SOURCE: CubCadet 1554 - won't start!

If you hear the PTO click when you turn the ignition on, sounds like the PTO button is pulled out like you were engaging the blades. The engine will not start if the PTO button is pulled out....

I cant find where solenoid is on my ride on mower,it needs a new one clicking noise when starting.

Follow the positive battery cable. Sometimes the solenoid is on the starter itself. The top picture is a remote solenoid, can be found under the seat area if the battery is under the seat and can be under the dash area. The second picture is a starter mounted solenoid common on Kohler but can be on more makes.

My electric start had stopped working. And every time I went to try and start it make a clicking noise. Now I have changed the starter solenoid and the new part makes a buzzing noise.

Sounds like a dead battery , try jumping the starter w a screw driver if it's new it will turn over at least , dead batt or starter solenoid is most likely cause, if your shure your batt is good? Try sanding connections

Ride on mower makes buzzing sound in engine but wont start

Sounds like your starter solenoid is buzzing. This means either the battery connections need to be cleaned, or the battery needs charged and possibly replaced. Check the connections at the starter and the solenoid. The solenoid is usually mounted to the back of the dash plate. If you have access to a load tester check the battery after charging and see if voltage is at 12.6 volts and that it passes the load test. Hope this helps, plese post solved on fixya.com.So I get credit more info.for a solved problem if it does. If not, check back and give me

check all wire connections to the battery and the starter and check the battery for being a good charge. the buzz sound is from not enough voltage or current getting to the starter.

Generac 43901 trys to start but get only a buzzing sound

The buzzing sound is most likely the started solenoid chattering due to low battery voltage, change the battery and try again. If it still does it make make sure the engine is not seized and can turn over. Then measure voltage going from the solenoid to the starter, if it is very low change the solenoid

Replace the starter solenoid. The buzzing noise is most likely the coil in the solenoid.

1993 mbz 300e won't turn over, battery full charge and buzzing noise from relay area.

hi,

the first thing that I would check is to make sure your battery is fully charged or try and jump the battery using another car battery.
if still no go then I would say that your starter solenoid is bad.
while checking the solenoid/starter double check to make sure your block to body ground cable is secure.

hope this helps,

Starting problems

I'm having starting problems with my MOTO 6.5 ther is a 'buzzing' noise when the start button is pressed(the bike will not start or even try to fire) is it the solenoid? The buzzing noise is coming from the small item near the battery is this the solenoid? The battery is almost new so i know this isn't the problem. can anyone help? Sounds like a problem with the starter motor. Are you sure that the motor/piston is actually moved by the starter motor? If notthe buzzing noise is from the starter motor itself that runs 'free' without engaging the magnet that connects with the motor. The magnets can get 'sticky' and sometimes helped with a Careful hammering onto the starter motor. In any event you will need to rebuild or replace the starter motor unit. This all assumes that the moto still starts whenyou push her in second gear, right? Hope this helps and good luck. ,,,
