It just won't! I took out the battery once, and now it won't turn on.
Same issue happened on Saturday. Only difference was the lens cover didn't completely shut when I tried to turn it off. I turned it on then off again and the cover shut....but it wouldn't turn back on. I fully charged the battery, but nothing. Tried two different batteries.
I was going to take mine in today to Wolf Camera in CO where I bought it.
Note that the camera was fully cleaned and and a new lense added less than a month ago by Canon (through the warranty program through Wolf)
Thougths?
Did anyone get any feedback?

camera just stoped working Have tried 2 bateries fuly charged nothing sems to help
I received a free g7 after it wouldn't power up for the previous owner, it does look like it has been dropped, but no major damage. I am not sure how far to go to repair it, but it is a very nice camera. I've tried several batteries and took a look inside and there still is no sine of life. I would like some direction on what (if anything) I can do to repair, or a place I could get a free/cheap estimate I can send it or drop off in Colorado to have it repaired.
My G7 has been returned to Canon three times and now the problem of it not turning on is constant and very annoying. It is untrustworthy and very frustrating.
THE G7 STOPED SUDDENLY WITHOUT ANY REASON TOO
My Powershot G7 was working fine a few days before. The next time I pulled it out it just wouldn't turn on. The battery had been fully charge and nothing had happened to it since the last time I used it. It was in it's case in a cabinet.
Like other posters, my G7 was working fine, nothing happened, and suddenly it would not turn on. It's not under warranty; a camera repair shop said they couldn't do the repair, but they could send it to Canon, and Canon would repair it for around $200 (a flat fee regardless of how hard it is to repair).
