Sounds like it needs a new light engine. Had mine replaced under warranty about 3-4 months after purchase. 2 years later, no additional repairs. Have sears extended warranty for 4 years.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My 60 inch phillips television has a red tint to it it was made in 2003

Usually this is bad fluid in the blue and green CRTs. the tell-tale sign is that the blue will just haze,
look at a guy in a black suit.. you will see the blue just hazing out around his white shirt and tie. This is common for all these philips TVs and is dirty cooling fluid in the blue and green CRTs. A repair shop will charge you about $300 for the fix, maybe less if you're lucky. You could fix yourself for about $40 and some time, but would need to have some mechanical skill and some free time on your hands. Let me know if you need further assistance.

RCA D61130 picture has a blue haze comes and goes?

The cooling fluid needs changed in the tubes and the algae wiped off the crt faces. This is not a do-it-yourself unless you're pretty darn good at fixing things.

Yellow haze

The blue filter is burnt out. A very common problem in Zenith DLPs. There are 3 color filters, 1 blue (a pinkish color), 1 green (a grayish brown) and 1 red (it is red) they give you your colors for you picture. This is a simple fix.

Blue haze on hitachi 51" tv

I finally emailed Hitachi about the blue haze and since my televison is only 16 months old they agreed to pay for the part (they didn't say what part) and I will have to pay the service charge. The repairman is coming out on 2 Apr 08. I will post results after that.

Blue screen

I would look for something real simple here. The problem appears to be in your component cables (I would suspect one being bad or connected to a wrong jack). If they are connected properly, try moving them a bit to see if the blue haze comes and goes or try different cables.
