Hi,
The switch in the pump should reset it's self after the water is gone...the problem is that the furnace or air condittioner is in a soft lock out and you need to recycle the power to that to get it to come back on...
So turn off the t-stat or turn off the breaker and then turn them back on... it should work then...if not the float could be hung up in side the pump...
Take the wires and bug them together at the pump to bypass it...then repalce the switch or the pump...

My little giant 554425 will not come on

Hi,
Either the float is stuck or the pump is stuck...
To release the float a good shot to the side of the pump is all that it will take....
If that does not work then a few screws and the top will come off.. the pump is a very simple spinner.. make sure ther is nothing jammed in there...
if that all checks out replace the unit, the motor is shot....
you should be able to find a new one at a HVAC supply house for around fifty bucks...or check www,grainger.com for a replacement condensate pump.

Often a little giant will air lock and you may have to tip on it's side to get the prime to start.

How do I reset the float. The pump cycles every

Check your check valve first. If it breaks, the water in the verticle section of pipe will run back into the pit when the pump kicks off and causes short cycles like you describe. Otherwise, what type of float? What brand and model pump?
