The headvalve piston has 3 orings and a vinyl piston stop. The orings must be in good condition and the surface that they contact should be smooth. Look at orings and mating surface with magnify glass looking for wear or scratches. Remove scratches in head with 400 grit paper. Replace orings as needed. Some models utilize a quadring as the inner oring and should be replaced (quad ring # 910763 wears fast and causes leak) The vinyl stop should not be cracked. Parts are available at dewalt service center or Good luck

How to fix my volvo p2179 code

code p 2179 refers to system too lean off idle bank2===causes ---fuel pressure --injectors ---intake leak
also refers to adaptive heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) control--bank 2---signal high===causes ---wiring ---short to positive --HO2S --ECM
at this point I would be focusing the attention on the HO2S sensor and it's wiring
the HO2S reports on the exhaust gas composition to the ECM so that fuel /air settings can be adjusted to maintain the gas composition within set parameters
if those parameters cannot be maintained then the ECM goes a bit funny in trying to adjust injector fuel settings , fuel pressure regulator settings ( if electronic controlled ) and MAF settings

I have the codes are po171 ..po174

code p 0171 refers to system too lean bank 1===causes --intake /exhaust leak---air system---MAF/VAF sensor--fuel pressure / pump---injector/ s---HO2S
code p 0172 refers to system too rich, bank 1===causes --intake blocked ---EVAP canister purge valve --fuel pressure --EGR system---injector/s -=-- HO2S
code p 0173 refers to fuel trim(FT) bank 2--malfunction===causes --intake leak---air system--fuel pressure /pump---injector/s --EVAP canister purge valve---HO2S
code p 0174 refers to system too lean, bank 2===causes intake / exhaust leak---fuel pressure /pump---injector/s---Air system---hose connection/s
I was not sure if you wanted all codes or just the first and last, however you will see that there are some common problems that may help point you in the right direction
1-- is the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) which is the sensor before the cat converter
2--is the fuel pressure , so a fuel pressure test will determine if a regulator or fuel pump problem,
3--EVAP canister purge valve --replace as required
4--intake / exhaust leak --check for vacuum hose failure including hoses to vent controls and check the flexible exhaust connection before the cat converter for leaks
The rest are there to check if you haven't fix the fault before you get to them

I have a 2 gallon compressor , no air comes out?

Check if air intake is clogged.
Check if drain valve on tank bottom is open or closed.
Look at pressure gauge and see if pressure is zero.
Adjust pressure so tank will hold 80-120 psi.
Check air lines between compressor and tank to see if they are leaking. Listen for leaking air while motor is running.

My N60FN is not returning to position after delivering a nail. Do you know what causes that?

It could be a slightly bent driver hanging up, a bad cylinder o-ring/seal that covers the exhaust holes in the cylinder, something covering the exhaust port on the top of the head (I have seen guys wrap rags around them cutting off the exhaust), too low of air pressure. 90psi is really the least amount you can use. Lower then that will get to a point of not enough pressure to return the driver all the way. Every tool is different but around 80psi or lower it usually isn't enough to properly cycle the tool. If the driver looks straight (hold it against a straight edge and look at a light, if it's bent you will see light coming through between the straight edge and driver blade at some point). If the driver is fine and the air pressure is high enough it may just need to have the o-rings replaced. If it is leaking air then for sure they need to be replaced.

Keeps giving P0171 reading any help

P0171- System Too Lean (Bank 1)

The adaptive fuel strategy in the vehicle's computer constantly monitors the fuel delivery system to make sure the engine is running at an optimum air to fuel ratio, which is 14.7:1. The computer adjusts injector pulse width to regulate the amount of fuel going into the engine. The oxygen sensors relay information to the Powertrain Control Module (computer), informing it of the oxygen content in the exhaust. This information is translated by the computer, and used to determine if more or less fuel is needed. The computer will then adjust fuel flow (and possibly other related engine operating characteristics), to keep the correct air fuel mixture. This loop continues as long as the engine is running.

A P0171 check engine light code is set when the computer has reached a rich calibration limit and can not add enough fuel to maintain the correct mixture.

Possible Causes:
The following is an overview of P0171 check engine light code possible causes.

Fuel System:

Leaking or faulty fuel pressure regulator
Plugged or dirty fuel filter or lines
Fuel pump weak or defective check valve
Injectors leaking or faulty
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Leaking EVAP system components
Faulty FRP (Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor)

Air Intake System

Vacuum leaks
Contaminated, damaged or faulty Mass Air Flow sensor
PCV valve leak or stuck open
Air induction turbulance caused by wrong filter
Oil dipstick not seated
Air leaks after the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF)
Oil coated aftermarket air filter

Exhaust System

Any exhaust leak before or near the oxygen sensors

EGR System

Vacuum line disconnected from EGR System Module (ESM)
EGR valve, tube or gasket leak
EGR vacuum regulator valve leaking

Secondary Air Injection System

Mechanically stuck secondary air injection valve

25 gal horizontal craftsman air compressor is leaking at the pressure control valve. Can I replace the valve or repair it?

Unloader valve probably needs to be adjusted. Should be two jam nuts holding the unloader to the pressure switch. Loosen the jam nuts and adjust the unloader slightly away from the lever. Tighten the jam nuts and try it again.

Rebuilding FC350 and unable to remove old trigger assembly. How can it be gripped in order to extract it?

listen carefully, remove the roll pins that hold the trigger and also the trigger assembly, get a glove or shop rag and place in the area of the valve, hold back on the air chuck so it won't lock and push it on the air fitting the valve will POP out.

Pressure switch out of adjustment

Before you adjust the perssure switch, make sure that the intank check valve is not leaking pressure back to the pressure switch after it cuts off at 140psi. The check valve should hold pressure at 140psi. Follow the discharge airline to the tank to find the checkvalve (either chrome or brass with large cap). To check for leaking valve, run compressor till shut-off at 140, then unplug the compressor from wall and remove the 1/4 air fitting at the checkvalve and check for leak. If leaking, replace valve and leave the pressure switch at present setting. You should be good to go. Good Luck with your repair and email if you have questions.
