Question about Toshiba Satellite A215-S4747 Notebook
Thought probably virus gotten thru so wiped and reloaded with recovery disks, Now computer seems not to want to run. DVD drive takes FOREVER to read anything you put in it. fans underneath dont seem to run
and even with a perfectly wiped/reloaded system files seem to disappear. Not a hack/pirater I use this laptop to watch movies on deployments and running legitemate gaming software on it. Also Only been connect to internet once when I bought it. July 07
Problems on the main board could be causing these troubles since it's common to everything else. You might also have memory problems. You could have a bad hard drive, which would account for lost or corrupted files and very long read times while Windows tries to get good data. Because of its connection to the system board, hard drive troubles can show up as other symptoms as well. My first suggestion would be to try another hard drive, then memory.
