Have you used this TV before or have you move it to a different source? I sounds as if it is trying to scan for channels as it states in the manual. If you have the manual check out page 14 Memorizing the Channels. If you don't then download it from: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Insignia-IS-LCDTV32-TVs-manual/id/8223ag521/t/2/
Sounds like either your computer is in hibernation mode or your TV is set to sleep, what type of connection to your computer are you using? I do believe in this model Vizio there is a sleep option on each of the Video sources. But I would guess its your computer going into either sleep mode or in your running windows 7 Hybrid sleep mode.
The orange light typically indicates that it has not detected a video signal. Using your remote, or the front panel buttons, try changing the input source to a known working input. Make sure that your cable from your receiver / dvd player / etc hasn't come loose.
Check whether timer is ON mode or OFF.
If it is ON set it to OFF mode.
Check whether sleep after 15 mins is after
set it to NEVER or OFF mode(sleep means if you won't change any channel or iuf you din't did any thing for 10 it will goes to sleep mode..... and again you have to turn it ON)
reallyme07, sounds like a "thermally intermittant solder joint" on one of the circuit boards (switch-mode-power-supply / inverter-supply) that are a key component used to light up the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes" that supply "WHITE LIGHT" to illuminate the LCD panel. you didn't state what you would like to do or how to get it repaired?? Do you have warranty on set? how old is it? The same technology is used in small screen LCD computer monitors. you may want to visit YOUTUBE and search for and view the longer video clips of LCD monitor disassembly and repair videos FYI. The same kind of problems exist for them as do your lcdhdtv. In any case, a tech type person will need to fix it by an IN-HOME VISIT or CARRY-IN to the shop. I'm louie12fix on fixya or firstname.lastname@example.org Please rate this response if possible. Bye for now.
