TV won't turn on

Our Visco 32" LCDHDTV turns on, but no picture -- like it is in sleep mode. How do we get it to turn on with picture and sound? Thanks.

red light blinks light changes blue but never turns on..my tv is less than 2 weeks old...

My problem is more like the one beneath this one. The red light comes on, which is tv-off indicator, but the blue light does not come on that is usually on when the tv is on or running. I've had the tv a little over a year. No problems until it popped off in the middle of viewing and would not come back on. Please post your solution.(cdotcarter1@yahoo.com)

My problem is the same as bjck01: the red light comes on but the blue light that indicates the tv is on does not. The tv won't come on. My tv is a little over a year old. If I'd just bought it I would return it to the store and get a Samsung, Sharp or Sony. I've had no problems before today when it popped off in the middle of viewing. Please post your solution. BestBuy wants $100 just to come out.

I have sound but no picture, I have a Visco, which some say is no good. Ijust want to fix it if possible.

    I have a similar problem.

My Visco 32 inch LCD TV usually works fine, until I started using the VGA port.

The voltages on the VGA must have done something to the tv because even regular channels started losing sound. I would have to turn it off via the plug and restart it to get it to work properly.

Recently it actually got fuzzy and distorted on the VGA.

Seeing as how I was using it as a computer monitor...this was very upsetting. Now the TV lost all responsiveness. It would work but nothing would respond. U pulled the plug put as always, which usually fixes the problem, but then it never turned back on.

The red light didn't even turn on. I just unplugged the VGA cord and all the others cords and im going to reposition the power cord in a little bit to see if it works. Again.

Ive had my Visco for almost 2 years now and never have had any problems. Has a great picture but poor sound quality but I also have surround so its not a problem. But last I turned it on and the red light went to blue and nothing happened. I can't shut it off it just does nothing. It use to make a weird sound when you turned it on too, almost like a video game and I just relised it hasn't done that in quite a while. It usually makes the speakers pop if I have my amp turned on with the volume too loud. No longer does that either, which I never understood why it did in the first place. Anyway I'm sure it needs a new board or something expensive. Just wondered if any of you have found solutions and what they ended up costing you. Currently the local electronic store that apparently is the only place that repairs tv's here in town wants $75 dollars up front to even look at it. Anyone have the manufacturers website? That would help me too.

    Thanks!

I called an electronics repair person who said he thinks a panel has gone bad and can replace it. I'll let you know if it works.

I have a VISCO 32' tv & lost the remote. Model # VSC-32V1. I need a remote to use to get to the HDMI area. I tried a universal but it only turns it on & does channel.

Check the operation manual and note down the model number and go and fetch it from any electronics shop nearby. These are available freely now in the market.

I have a Visco 32"

Have you used this TV before or have you move it to a different source? I sounds as if it is trying to scan for channels as it states in the manual. If you have the manual check out page 14 Memorizing the Channels. If you don't then download it from: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Insignia-IS-LCDTV32-TVs-manual/id/8223ag521/t/2/

Good luck

Im using my tv as a monitor, when i turn on my music and then leave the computer to do chores, the computer goes to no signal and i cant listen to my music, how do i keep it from doing this?

Sounds like either your computer is in hibernation mode or your TV is set to sleep, what type of connection to your computer are you using? I do believe in this model Vizio there is a sleep option on each of the Video sources. But I would guess its your computer going into either sleep mode or in your running windows 7 Hybrid sleep mode.

Hi I have a VISCO Flat screen tv MOdel#VSC-32v3 we turn tv on and the orange light is on but no picture does the tv need reset

The orange light typically indicates that it has not detected a video signal. Using your remote, or the front panel buttons, try changing the input source to a known working input. Make sure that your cable from your receiver / dvd player / etc hasn't come loose.

We have a 32" Visco LCD TV (about 5 yrs old), we have sound but have no picture. I tried the service desk but can no longer find Visco help anywhere. A company that sells parts directed me to your web...

I can only sggest you go back to your supplier to seek advice. They should hopefully know where a company that supports this set will be.
Sorry.

Power Light is On, TV is blank.

reallyme07, sounds like a "thermally intermittant solder joint" on one of the circuit boards (switch-mode-power-supply / inverter-supply) that are a key component used to light up the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes" that supply "WHITE LIGHT" to illuminate the LCD panel. you didn't state what you would like to do or how to get it repaired?? Do you have warranty on set? how old is it? The same technology is used in small screen LCD computer monitors. you may want to visit YOUTUBE and search for and view the longer video clips of LCD monitor disassembly and repair videos FYI. The same kind of problems exist for them as do your lcdhdtv. In any case, a tech type person will need to fix it by an IN-HOME VISIT or CARRY-IN to the shop. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel@aol.com Please rate this response if possible. Bye for now.
