Computer screen messed up after connecting to a Projector.

Sounds like your screen resolution has gotten changed. Plug your VGA cable in and reset it to 1024x768. Then with the laptop on remove the VGA cable. When you connect your laptop to other devices like that, make sure you are not setting the resolution to the same as the TV.

I plugged in a computer and changed the input to VGA and the TV went blank

It sounds like your tv is in sleep mode.

What are the settings for the computer? Make sure it is set for the vga output. If it is a laptop, this is usually done with a function (FN) key. On your settings screen you can set the resolution and which monitor you are using.

I have a 24" aoc 2436Vh display and a new 15"

I purchased the AOC 2436Vh display yesterday. To get my MacBook Pro to work with it I purchased Apple's Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. Since the monitor comes with the VGA cable, all you need is the adapter to plug it into your MacBook Pro. It works beautifully and set up is easy if you know your way around the Mac. Although the HDMI works perfectly with my PS3, I strongly recommend the Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter. I hope this helps.

I want to connect to a pc (vga) but don't have instructions

First ensure your tv has a vga socket at the back. You will need a vga cable with 2 male ends. On the pc goto display properties by right clicking on the screen, goto settings and adjust the slider at the bottom of the window to 800 by 600 resolution and adjust the bit rating to 24 or 16 bit. Plug the cable both into the tv vga socket and the pc vga socket, and boot the pc. Make sure the tv's input is set to pc or vga and you should now have windows on your tv. Hope this helps

Try booting into safe mode (press F8 repeatedly while starting up computer). Once in safe mode, you should have display (probably at 800x600) and you can reset it to whatever and reboot to normal.

If your settings are incompatible with the monitor specs you get results like you are seeing.

Screen Goes Blank

Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.

Dell 2300mp projector, colors bad

try reseating the vga cable. Try removing the cable, the green tint should disappear meaning that the color or lack of one of the primary colors blue/red/green were missing due to bad connection. or maybe you have a bad vga cable.

Trouble setting up VGA cable to watch movies from my computer on my TV?

First, make sure the VGA cable is plugged into the AV6 slot on the back of the TV.

You will have to go into your computer, and click Start --> Control Panel --> Appearances and Themes --> Display --> Settings and change the screen resolution to 800 x 600 first.

Then go into the program for your Graphics Card and change the screen resolution to 800 x 600 with a 60Hz Refresh Rate - sinc ethis will most likely be a change for you, your computer screen will seem to "flash" a bit - your eyes will adjust as you become used to this.

The other resolutions that work will be the following, but the 60 Hz refresh rate is the key:
Supported Display Resolution•Computer formats: 640 x 48060Hz, 800 x 600 60Hz, 1024 x768 60Hz, 1280 x 720 60Hz•
