Some keys register different characters. For example the O registers the number 6 when it is typed.

This should be a simple fix, look at your keyboard, you should have a function key and if you look at the number pads above the top row of letters there should be either a numerical symbol or a key pad, your keyb board is simply using several keys as an extended numerical keypad. If you look closely at the letters there are small numbers on them. To fix hold down function key and pressing the keypad button. You can also try pressing the number lock.

Number keys on think pad lock using openoffice.org

On Thinkpads laptops the keys on the right hand side double up as the number keypad. To switch on the Number lock key pad on - press and hold the Shift key and press the NumLk/ScrLk key, it is above the F11 key, the Num lock LED will also light up. Press these keys again to turn off the Numer Lock.

Spilled coffee on machine and only 4 key letters do not work

The pad underneath needs to be replaced. The coffee bath really does not mix with these units and recommend that you try to be careful next time but the keypad will need to be replaced this is one unit and they range from $65-100 bucks to have them replaced or repaired.

Thanks

OLD garage door opener

Sounds like you have the keypad that is hardwired.

To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next, remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

These instructions may not work if the keypad is some other manufacturers.
