I tried the 3 beep thing but my controller did not connect so i turned it off an on again an now the screen is black an if i try the 3beep thing now it just goes back on stand by can you help?

Hi Loubrillet,

Are you seeing any flashing red/yellow lights?

If so this is the red light error and you will find that is why the system will not turn on.

Why Does It Happen?

The GPU and the CPU are the 2 main chips in the system and they deal with all of the number crunching however they can get very hot and if they lose connection the system will either freeze up or turn off and give you the red flashing light.

How To Fix?

The key is stopping the heat build up and you can either send it in and they will fix it for you.

Bear in mind that for the PS3 red flashing light error you will be waiting for about 4 weeks and it will also cost you $150 for the repair bill!

Other Ways To Fix?

You can also use a good PS3 Repair Guide to fix it and this will show you how to stop the heat build up with a few household items.

Just make sure that you get a good guide there are some good ones out there!

Hope this helps and any questions let me know?

Turn the console on, displays the xbox screen then screen goes off and a red light starts flashing on console, says system error

is this a single red light? if so, it is a E code error. if there are 2, it is a overheating problem. if its 3, it is a general system error which could be a number of things which you need to figure out the secondary error code to narrow down the problem.
to find the secondary error code:
1. after the red lights start flashing, hold down the "controller sync" button.
2. push the "eject" button 4 times and count the amount of red lights that flash. the red lights will begin to flash rapidly. secondary error codes are only 4 numbers. 1 light = 1, 2 lights = 2, 3 lights = 3 and 4 lights = 4.
after you get the code go to this website, and on the right hand side of the screen under "Xbox Repair Guide" select your PRIMARY error code (1,2,3 or 4 slow flashing red lights). then it will ask you to enter your SECONDARY error code, which is the one you discovered in the steps above.
this will give you a very narrowed down idea of what is wrong with your console, and will give us "questions answerers" a better idea on how to help ya out!

Xbox one blinking red light.. 1 not 3,, first time i seen this, fixed many ps3 ylod,, is it the same fix? looking for help here or a good link on repair info

When you get one red light flashing on the ROL of your Xbox 360 console that's an indicator of a hardware problem with the console connection to one of the parts connected to it as the hard drive or cables.

So, first disconnect all power and AV cables from the back of your Xbox 360 console and also unplug the power cord from the wall socket, wait for a minute then reconnect them all back and try to turn on your Xbox 360 console once more.

If that doesn't work, it seems then to be a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so turn off the console again and remove the hard drive then turn on your Xbox 360 console without the hard drive, supposed then to work fine, it might be an intermittent issue and when you reconnect the hard drive your Xbox 360 will work fine all after, or it will just work fine without the hard drive so it will be then definitely a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so call Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the hard drive for you.

The Xbox 360 console might even keep giving you the same error code even after you remove the hard drive so it will then appear to be a fault with your Xbox 360 console not the hard drive & also in a case like this we need to contact Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the console.

PS3 is "on", red screen has occurred with a error warning

this is probably an warning about problems with your hardware (such as gpu or ram modules) .
The only thing you can do is taking the system to an assistance centre for hardware checking, they will test all the components of the system .

if your system is covered by warranty, don't waste time and call sony as soon as you can !!

unfortunately, there isn't any firmware solution to fix it, because all system functionality is prejudiced.
the only thing you can do (i belive it wont work), is reseting av settings by holding the on;off button when starting up the system .

My xbox 360 got the red cicle of death

If you've got three red lights, you can't fix it.

Call Microsoft, they'll set you up to send it to them, and get a replacement.

The whole process takes about 4 weeks to complete.

Okay, this is the same thing if there are three red lights, the system has experienced a hardware failure, and you need to send it back to Microsoft for repairs or you can try these:

1. Turn off the console, disconnect and reconnect all cables, then turn the console back again. 2. If an Xbox Hard Disk Drive is attached to the console, turn off the console, and then remove the Hard Disk. Turn on the console and test for the error. If the error does not reoccur, turn off the console and reattach the Hard Disk. Alternate testing with the hard drive connected and removed to see if the error occurs only while the hard drive is attached.3.If an Xbox Memory Unit (MU) is plugged in to the console, turn off the console, and then remove the Memory Unit. Turn on the console again and test for the error. If the error does not reoccur, turn off the console and reinsert the MU. Alternate testing with the MU inserted and removed to see if the error occurs only while the MU is inserted.
