Hi there, yes its a bit tricky, you really need to see a diagram of the pivot bushings and washers etc that go on the pivot end, im afraid i cant help you with that, if your having difficulty fitting the gas struts on the side, remove the brackets from the side of the trailer one at a a time, NB!!! Make sur you have help or else have the lid bsecured in a open position otherwise this will remove your head in one go if it slips!!! fit the struts and then reattach the brackets to the sides. the pivot are is very hard to describe without a diagram im affraid but the bushings basically go between the trailer frame and the lid, the bolt goes from the outseice in and caped on the inside. hope that helps.

Do I have to cover my trailer boat when towing?

I do not know the rules of your state but I do not know any that require a cover. The bout should be strapped down to the trailer and anything that can blow out should be removed. I followed a boat the other day that had a hatch unfastened. Round things were blowing out as the lid flopped in the wind. I stopped him, then went back to see what came out. He will be unhappy when he gets on the water and finds he does not have any leader line left.

How to stop drain pipe from leaking on a 2014 shower 1985 lancr travel trailer

Is it leaking at a glued connection or a jam nut connection? If at the jam nut connection you may need to replace the jam nut washer to get a good seal. If it is a glued connection. You may get luck and reseal the connection by swabbing some ABS glue over the leaking area. ABS glue is thick black glue and may be found at your local RV dealership.

There is no nut on the tensioner, just a weird looking thing witch a socket won't fit

Belt tensioner? Usually takes a 3/8 " ratchet or 3/8 " breaker bar to rotate the belt tensioner.
Get in there with an inspection mirror(It's tight quarters!).
Some Toyota's require a skinny wrench to fit onto the 14 mm bolt head. Some are 17 mm.
Socket won't get in there.
Some cars require loosening the engine mount and jack the engine up to gain enough clearance!(Mitsubishi)

How to replace a wheel speed sensor

if abs [also speed] sensor is damaged better off replacing hub most sensors are incorporated into the hub or are a ring style that is a press fit around the hub and still have to remove hub to replace--- larger vehicles and some cross overs u can remove just the sensor not in your case --if just wire damaged can order and replace but if abs needs to be replaced than prior to removing wheel loosen center axle nut dont remove yet jack up and support vehicle- remove wheel, brake caliper, brake bracket, rotor and center axle nut ,disconnect abs wire connection and remove the 3 bolts at rear of hub and remove hub from spindle clean area and reinstall hub careful of wire connection replace all components

My Civic 2004, MT, without ABS has recurrent brake problems. After driving it for a while, the brakes (front) seem to make a cracking noise when braking, and also, it squeaks a lot when braking. Even after...

You need to remove the front wheels and check for any signs of extreme pad wear on both sides, heat buildup, try turning each wheel by hand while off the ground, and look for any loose hardware nut bolts etc.

How hard is it to change out both front wheel bearings

Not that hard, you will need to remove the brake calipers and rotors. The hardest part is getting the proper size socket to take the axle nut off the spindle if its 4WD. If 2WD they just bolt on from the back of the spindle (4 bolts), and electrical connector for the ABS. Leave the ball joints and tie rods connected.

Broken part on MT 8180 looking for replacement part

ACE Hardware.  What you are looking fore is a "wing bolt" as opposed to a wing nut.  They have them in both SAE and Metric.  At least our local store does.
