Question about Ryobi 15" Electric Factory Reconditioned Trimmer (ZRRY41002) - Factory Reconditioned

Open Question

Ryobi p300 nailer/stapler

I just bought a reconditioned P300. It worked great, but for some reason when I want to stabler or nail anything it starts but does not finish. You could say it balks. I thought the battery needed charging, but it was not that. Also, it is not jammed. Any help?

SOURCE: Ryobi weed eater 18v stopped working. Charged battery, no response, so bought new battery. Stil unresponsive. What's wrong?

Could be the trigger switch, brushes, or the motor. I can tell you the motors on these things are amazingly cheap. The contact surface for the windings is paper thin. All you need is a little bit of dirt or sand and you will literally sand the copper off and kill the motor. Open it up, look at the articulating surface of the motor that the brushes ride on. If it is not a shiny copper color, the copper has been worn off & you found your problem. Good luck.

OK...maybe you would like to go with a new Homelite, or Ryobi gas job? Troy Bilt? From what I have seen and read on here, ALL the electic ones are unreliable and the batteries never last.

The reason why ryobi tools are cheap is that when they go wrong and they all go wrong they should be chucked away as some times they can cost more to fix than buy new.
Depending on where you live you can contact roybi andthey have a very good service deppartment

Ryobi cs30 rope problem

try removing the starter housing, inside will be a large white or black wheel, visually inspect to make sure the componets are not damaged and that nothing jamming it. try using a lithium spray grease to lubricate the componets. if it still doesn't work the inner coil is probably damaged or came off track. it is very difficult to fix or replace this coil. i suggest taking to your nearest service center but if you would like to try it yourself, let me know and i will give you further instructions.
