Download Malwarebytes at www.malwarebytes.com , install the program it is free. Update it if possible and then run the quick scan. You will be amazed at how many viruses it will find. Once it has found all of the viruses, click on the button to remove them. Reboot, update and run a full scan.

Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can try to rid the virus working from there be very careful if that does'nt work try removing your hard drive from your computer leaving it for 4-8 hrs in a dark place then re-install it this process worked for me
hope this helps good luck

Is there really a Trojan Virus that Microsoft keeps trying to sell me a protective program for $199?

No, Microsoft Windows Defender is free to protect you against any Trojan Viruses! If someone is phoning you, they are scammers. There is also stuff called 'RansomeWare', which is a program you inadvertently execute which puts a message onscreen that you have a virus and have to phone money to get rid of it. Often it is a easy as pressing CTRL, ALT, DELETE and closing it is Task Manager.

No, this is a clearly illegal operation trying to steal money from you - stop all communications with them and call the police, they will tell you what they can do against them. And never trust anyone with a foreign accent, if they aren't from your country then surely they are not legit.

I installed webroot spy sweeper but my computer says that I have no virus protection and webroot will not allow me any access to turn it on.

Uninstall the software from Spy Sweeper go to uninstall and look for Spy Sweeper and take it out of there. Or go to programs and see if it is an uninstall utility. I use Windows Security Essentials it is free and does all of it behind the scenes. You have to have a legal copy of windows and also pass the WGA in order to download it. The problem is people waste their money on software that is not necessary in today's computing world most of it is free and already built in or offered with Windows software operating systems. You do not need much more than this.
If you decide to load it anyway because you purchased it make sure that you go and check to see if you have anti-virus software installed that can be found in the control panel. If not you will also have to purchase external anti-virus software as well to work with this software. There are free ones to use or purchase. Your provider ISP may even have anti-virus free check your provider site to see if it comes with free anti-virus software. I would use Microsoft Security Essentials personally. It does it all removes spyware and things that are not supposed to be there. Click Here to download this free software and read about it. Hope this assists you. John

How can i get my windows vista back to factory mode?

Procedure of Reformatting, will loose all your information. I suggest you back up everything. You will need your Disc that came with Computer. Insert the Disc and start. When you reformat your computer, you will find your product key code located on your computer. It is a sticker and it is labeled " product key code". It has alot of numbers on it.

Always look for a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). A COA is a label that helps you identify genuine Microsoft software. A COA is not a software license – it is a visual identifier that assists in determining whether or not the Microsoft software you are running is genuine. However, without it, you will not have a legal license to run Microsoft software. A COA should never be purchased by itself without the software it authenticates.

If you do not have one, then I suggest your Purchase one.
FYI---Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. .

My disk loader will not run the 360 norton. please help. other cds work on it but the norton360 will not load.is there a way to fix it.without paying a whole lot of money for it?

honestly Nortons 360 is not what you want to load on your computer anyways... I am an IT Tech and I get a lot of business because of this program. A good security/virus program is one called AVAST and it is free as long as you are a home user. Try it out. Another thing...sometimes a computer will not allow any anti-virus programs to be loaded when they have certain trojans or worms. Just a thought.

your computer doesn't have any more memory? sounds like you put so much on it that theres no room at all your pc needs physical space for computing so uninstall some things until you get about 10% free space on your hard drive then go to google and type" avg free" download that its free you can also go here-http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and do a free scan of your pc but that won't help if theres no free space
