Welcome to FixYa!

Send and Email to Paypal using this link https://www.paypal.com/ph/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-general

State your problem in the email and include the transaction number.

You have nothing to worry, it is just a program/database error. The transaction number is a proof that the payment has been entered and it's just that it is not showing on your history as you try to view it.
Check also if it affected your balance and include it in the email.
You can also reach PayPal by phone at

In Paypal there should be a spot with your transactions. All you need to do is click the transaction details and then about halfway down it should say issue a refund and just go through that and it should get it sent back where its supposed to.

Transaction was made to the wrong merchant; how can i cancel the PayPal payment?

How do I get my money back?
2 solutions

I sent money to the wrong email address, but the payment is completed. What do I do? Question : Answer : PayPal cannot reverse payments that have been claimed. We recommend that you contact your recipient directly and make arrangements to have the money refunded to you via PayPal or another method of your choosing.
If you don't receive a refund, you can file a dispute within 45 days of the payment date. Here's how to file a dispute:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Resolution Center near the top of the page.
  3. Click Dispute a Transaction.
  4. Click Item dispute and click Continue.
  5. Click Find transaction ID, then click the transaction ID you want to dispute.
  6. Click Continue and follow the instructions
or if yous ent to recipient, but to wrong email address
If you would like a refund, start by getting in touch with your seller. Most sellers welcome the chance to work out any problems.

Here's what we recommend:
  1. Contact your seller to discuss your problem.
  2. If you're still not satisfied, you can open a dispute in the Resolution Center.
  3. If you would like PayPal to decide whether you should receive a refund, escalate the dispute to a claim.

Contacting your seller

To find the seller's contact information:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  3. Click History and locate the transaction in your list of recent transactions.
  4. Click Details next to the transaction.

On the Transaction Details page, you'll see the seller's name, email, and, if available, the seller's customer service phone number.

Opening a dispute

If you weren't able to work out your problem with your seller, you can open a dispute.

If you purchased your item on eBay, you'll go to eBay's Resolution Center to open your dispute. If you made your purchase somewhere else, go to PayPal's Resolution Center.

How to find eBay's Resolution Center:
  1. Go to the eBay homepage and log in to your eBay account.
  2. Click eBay Security & Resolution Center at the top of the page.

How to find PayPal's Resolution Center:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Resolution Center at the top of the page.
  3. Click Dispute a Transaction and follow the directions.
You can open a dispute within 45 days of making your payment. If your dispute is not resolved or escalated to a claim within 20 days it will be closed please rate my service

If you believe you do not have an account with PayPal, disregard this message. However, if you want to check further, log in to PayPal directly via www.paypal.com. Do not click any links in your email with dubious messages like this.

If you are now in PayPal, log in using your email address where this message was sent. Paypal will detect if this is a registered account or not. I highly suggest you check your bank accounts too for unscrupulous transactions.

Carol Kelly Could you please help me,this is the first purchase I have made. After setting up my PayPal account and having it confirmed, I put in the email address for my purchase which is...

lovemypet@domain.com is not the same as lovemypet.com.au.
Notice that the second one doesn't have an '@' sign, which an email address should have.

You have sent money to some the ID lovemypet@domain.com

Now, this is to try recover your money.

Go to "Resolution Center" in PayPal
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_complaint-view&nav=0.4

Click "Dispute a Transaction"

Select "Item Dispute"

Enter the Transaction ID of the payment sent. [Click "find transaction ID if you already don't know it. I hope you will recognize the amount sent from the history."]

Click "continue"

Now, follow the instructions.
You will have to write something describing the problem.
Maybe you can write "Hey, I have not received the .......... that I bought on...... . Have you already sent the item?"

Now, you have to ask the seller his PayPal ID. From where did you buy the item? I hope it is some website.

Please tell me if there is any other problem.

Wrong size tire was sent to me

We can't solve this here, but paypal has a Resolution Center.
Click on that transaction to highlight the details, then scroll down to the "Resolution Center" link and click on it. Select "Item dispute" then follow the steps to describe your problem. You will get your money back this way.
