Sounds like you may have lost your signal. The only troubleshooting solution at this point would be to find a temporary monitor replacement and see if you get any response out of it. Know anyone who may let you borrow their monitor? If there is no response from a replacement you may have to put the 'puter in the shop.

Find yourself a dark room or wait for the night to come. The darkest monitor adjustment could somehow reveal some light when there are no other light source available.
You may also hook a conventional CRT monitor and make your changes (such as bringing your computer back to its original settings). The darkest adjustment in CRT monitor could still render discernible displays.
