Question about Kitchen Ranges
The evaporator fan in the freezer stops when you open the door. Hold the button in which controls the light then it will continue to run if the compressor is running. The noise could be ice build up on the evaporator coil which is hitting the fan or the fan could be going bad and need replaced. It's behind the rear cover inside the freezer. It's not to difficult to change out.
If it's ice build up then you have a defrost problem.
