I have a 1990 4runner 4WD. I have a white chalky corrosion that seems to be getting all over my engine, it has gotten my belt pulleys on the powersteering pump, I do not see where it is coming from but...

There are only 2 places it will come from.
1. The battery which can be cleaned down from using hot water.
2. Salt oxidation which could be coming from an external source such as the sea or factory, the corrosion is caused from the aluminium oxsidising.

Let me know if you need more help.

My fan keeps running after engine 01 jaguar S type 6 cylinder am i overheating

It is normal for your fan to continue to run for approximately 10mins AFTER shut off your engine. If it run's for longer than that or it drain's your battery, then you have a problem.

When I start my outboard my A=65 shuts off, It can be turned on after engine is running

This is a very common marine electronics problem. You probably only have one battery that runs the engine and the electronics don't you? The engine when started creates a very significant draw of power when it's cranked. If the battery is old more so than ever. When this power draw happens, your machine brown's out. The electronics try their hardest to keep the voltage up but they can't because they're being starved. This can cause electronics to have memory issues, get garbled up and not perform correctly upon startup. Either add a house bank that is separate from your start battery or turn your unit on after the engine has started.

get a volt meter set it on dc scale start your engine .take meter hook it to battery it should be 13.5 to 14.5. it shouldnt go over 15. if it goes over 15 volts your alternator has a bad voltage regulator. take it back get you a new one.

1994 Suzuki Samurai dies when you turn the lights on

Get a volt meter and check the voltage on the battery should be around 12 to 12.5 volts.start the Samurai with it running, should be between 13.6 and 14 volts. Then while you are watching the volt meter have someone start turning on lights and accessories. If the voltage begins to drop down when it hits between 9.6 and 10.2. It will shut down the cpu and the engine will die. If this is what is happening the alternator is not keeping up, and needs the belt tightened or alternator replaced. I don't think it is the battery because you can restart the vehicle after turning off all the accessories. Mike
