Your symptoms are hard to put together without seeing you in the office. What you describe could be some local neurological problem, an unrealized injury or even part of a migraine syndrome. Migraines do not always involve headaches. I have to suggest you check in with your physician so that he or she might examine the area involved, discuss duration and associated symptoms if any and also what seems to make the cramp better or worse. Your diagnosis requires a doctors office visit. Good luck with it.

What causes leg cramps?

Idiopathic leg cramps

Although the cause of idiopathic leg cramps is unknown, there are a number of theories about what might cause idiopathic leg cramps. These include:
  • abnormal nerve activity during sleep which causes the muscle of the leg to cramp
  • excessive strain placed on leg muscles, such as when exercising, may cause the muscles to cramp at certain times
  • a sudden restriction in the blood supply to the affected muscles
Also, tendons naturally shorten over time as a person gets older, which may explain why older people are particularly affected by leg cramps. Tendons are tough bands of tissue that connect muscles to bone. If your tendons become too short, they may cause the muscles connected to them to cramp.
Secondary leg cramps
Secondary leg cramps are caused by an underlying condition or another identifiable cause. These include:
  • pregnancy: the extra weight of pregnancy can place strain on the leg muscles, making them more vulnerable to cramping
  • exercise: leg cramps are often experienced when resting after exercise
  • neurological conditions (conditions that affect the nerves in your leg muscles): for example, motor neurone disease or peripheral neuropathy
  • liver disease: if your liver stops working properly, toxins will build up in your blood, which can make your muscles go into spasm
  • infection: some types of bacterial infection, such as tetanus, can cause muscle cramps and spasm
  • toxins: in some people, high levels of toxic (poisonous) substances in the blood, such as lead or mercury, can cause leg cramps
  • dehydration: in some people, low levels of water in the body can lead to a drop in your salt levels, which can trigger muscle cramps

Medication

Certain medications have been known to cause leg cramps in a small number of people. These include:

What kinds of stretching help to cure shin splints?

Do some stretching and muscle conditioning before any activity. If you subject your muscles to immediate exertion and stress without warm-ups and stretching, you run the risk of worsening your shin splint problem. Proper stretching will prepare your muscles for any long-term activity, keeping it loose and ready. Proper stretching of the injured muscle can also help in the healing process.

What does Posterior shin splints means?

Posterior shin splints, on the other hand, result from strains put on the posterior tibia muscles. They are caused foot and leg imbalances. As such, people who have flat arches and imbalances on their tight calf muscles tend to be more susceptible to this condition than those with normal foot and leg formation. Posterior shin splints usually happen when the posterior tibia muscle gets stretched as the foot becomes flat during each step. The stretch causes the muscle to repeatedly tug on it's tibia attachment, causing pain and inflammation if it goes on long and hard enough.

Can changing from running shoes to running shoes with track spikes damage my legs or feet?

Changing from running in regular workout shoes to track spikes can cause Achilles tendon problems. Your Achilles tendon, sometimes called the calcaneal tendon, connects your calf muscles to your heel bone. A slow onset of pain that increases with exertion is likely to be tendonitis, whereas a sudden pain may be a partial or complete Achilles' tendon rupture. Achilles' tendons injuries are slow to heel and, in the case of ruptures, can even require surgery.

My wife is pregnant and she suffers abdominal pain.what are the common problem/stomach pain during pregnancy period.

This is an extremely common side effect of pregnancy. During pregnancy you have a few reasons for this:
1) Increase in progesterone, decreases the contractility of smooth muscle. Smooth muscle is what makes up the bulk of your Gastrointestinal Tract. This decreased contractility will lead to nausea, constipation and sometimes cramping.
2) Increase in abdominal size will lead to pressure on the GI tract especially the stomache causing heart burn and slowed emptying of the stomache.

Good Luck! I hope this helped!
