Hello again,

I'm glad I was able to help you earlier with the overlay, unfortunately I'm not sure I can go 2 for 2 because the start switch issue is going to be a little more involved.

The issue is the start switch is actually integrated into the main control assembly,

example...

the start switch (right side) not power switch - 9c255a5.jpg

...hence you may need to replace the entire assembly and...this is the unfortunate part...it is no longer available at most part vendors since Asko no longer manufactures it.

If need be I'd recommend calling Asko USA at 1-800-898-1879 and see if perhaps they can direct you on a location, or you can look at "repairclinic.com" under # 1472725.

I say may because the control itself has possibly fallen away from the white upper plastic case which houses it, ( refer to the image ) thus the switch is not actually being pushed.

Either way will require you to open up the console to inspect it or replace the control if that isn't the issue and the start button simply no longer responds to the command when pushed.

In any event I attached the pdf pages of the parts illustration I have on pc, they may in fact be too small once sent though.

The part number by Asko originally is # 80 706 99-04.

Hope you find this info useful, let me know if i can assist you further of course, I will see what I can do.

Good luck.

Macmarkus :)

Rear window defroster won't work

Locate and test or replace the fuse with a new or known good fuse. Check for a wire on both the left and right side on the rear window glass that connects to the defrost overlay "lines". Make sure they both are connected / plugged in to the connector(s). If these are OK, there may be an issue with the switch / timer that will require tools and more to track down and correct. You'll likely need to use the services of a trusted mechanic in that case.

1999 buick lesabre my right signal doesnt blink it stays solid , my left turn signal blinks fine i have to manually blink the right side every turn , i put the hazard lights on and the front left and right...

The easiest thing for you to do would be to replace the bulbs that are on that circuit. You should have one or two bulbs with a double filament, one for the brake and turn signal and one for the tail light.
If that does not fix the problem, someone will need to check the circuit for power from the turn signal switch. It takes all of the lights on one side to make the turn signal flash.

Amana side-by-side icemaker buttons on door not working properly

I have an idea whats wrong but it amy be kinda hard to explain to you but here goes.
looking at the selector buttons does it look like the plastic overlay is cracked or worn from where you have made selections over time? what happens is when these selectors crack it causes teh switch to hange in one position. in your case it would most likely be the water button that is the worst culprit. the repair is very simple. you need to replace the overlay which is the sticker that labels the crushed/cubed ice and water. you can order this part through amana using your model and serial number, or post a good model and serial number here and I'll look up the part for you. thx peyton

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1980-85 GRAND MARQUIS, LINCOLN
Poor vehicle performance, (especially during hot weather) may be due to insufficient voltage at the high pressure (in tank) fuel pump. The condition may be corrected by changing the fuel filter and installing a jumper wire to bypass the pump resistor.
1. Locate the fuel pump inertia switch (Sedan: the switch is on the trunk hinge - Station wagon: the switch is at the rear of the vehicle in the passenger compartment).
2. Set a voltmeter, Rotunda Number 014-00407, to read 15 volts or more. Connect the voltmeter between vehicle ground and either side of the inertia switch. (If the vehicle does not run, make sure the inertia switch is not open.)
3. Start and run the vehicle in PARK position and read the voltage.
4. If voltage is below 8.5 volts, change the system fuel filter (located under the vehicle on the vehicle right side just in front of the rear wheel well on a crossmember), and recheck the voltage.
5. If the voltage remains below 8.5 volts, install an overlay wiring harness to increase the voltage above 8.5 volts.
6. Install the overlay wiring harness by attaching the large ring terminal to the battery terminal of the starter relay. Remove the connector from the "I" terminal of the starter relay and insert the male pin of the overlay harness into the connector. Install the female connector from the overlay harness onto the "I" terminal. Tape or install the overlay harness into the existing wiring harness bundle.
7. Start the vehicle, recheck voltage and recheck vehicle for proper operation.

Power switch went bad. need to know which pins attach to which wires

Looking at the front of PC remove the left side panel. Now looking in at the board. There are two rows of pins in the lowest right hand corner of the board. Your PWRSW is your power switch. Its a two pin connector. The ground wire will be black or white. The ground faces to the right & connects at pin 4 counting from right to left. Power switch takes up pin 4&5.
All done. If tech switched the wires by mistake than flip the connector 180*.
