Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Have you located and tried disconnecting the wireless card to see if it collected a static charge recently?
It may just need to be dissembled enough to be located and removed for discharging.
Before you do this, try going to control panel in windows, go to device manager, uninstall current driver. Reboot and allow windows to reinstall its compatible driver on startup and see if it restores your wireless connection.
If that doesn't work, before dismantling your laptop to find your wireless card, try to find a tested and reliable wireless card in case you need to replace your current one. That way you aren't wasting your time. After you dismantle your laptop, try discharging your wireless card as stated above, it should be as easy as your memory removal or your modem card removal depending on its location. If discharging doesn't work, replace it with the tested and reliable card. If the new card doesn't work, then you may have a port issue and that may require motherboard work.
There is a cheaper alternative though, purchase a wireless PCMCIA card instead, this will plug into your expansion port on the side. I recommend netgear cards, they have never failed me! This will save you lots of time, money, and stress!
