It sounds like you have a suction leak or a clogged impeller. A quick way to check the impeller is to fill the pump pot (where the basket is) with water, then start the pump with the lid OFF. The water should be sucked down into the pump immediately. Turn the pump off. If it took more than about half a second for the water to disappear you need to open the pump and clear the debris from the impeller. Otherwise any leak from the skimmer to the pump will cause the problem. Make sure your pump lid o-ring is lubricated.
my 98 Blazer I had to replace radiator water pump heatercore and hoses. Had head gasket go. Once that happens air and dexcool corrode cooling system. Do you smell antifreeze? Are you loosing antifreeze? Check oil see if its another color not clear or black but i think light brown. Have you flushed out system?
It sounds like the pump, the function of which is to pump water into the machine. Since it works when you add water manually, it doesn;t sound like a switch or anything.
A pump is easy to replace. It's usually attached with just a few screws/bolts and the hoses.
Sounds like air has gotten into the pump and froze the pump. It will need to be replaced due to that reason. You can get a repair kit for the pump but it will not be gaurenteed to work
You have to make sure that the pump is flowing enough water to activate the Stiebel. The tankless unit has a activation rate of a certain amount of water to turn it on.
It obviously is related to the pump and outlet hoses.
If it is a tap in waste then check for obstruction there,
Remove drain hose completely and run water though it to make sure it is fully clear.
Check inside the pump itself for any obstruction , if you are satisfied that every thing is o/k, then as a last resort, fit new pump.
Plz leave feedback for this solution.
Thanks.
