You are getting too much (light) over-exposure.
If you have an option in the cameras menu to lower the shutter speed (smaller Fraction) or using a smaller (larger number) aperature, this will help get a more accurate exposure.

Having problems with quality of pictures taken inside....they all have a "yellow" color tint to them. Any suggestions? Camera takes excellent outside pictures.

Check your white balance setting. Indoor incandescent bulbs have a yellow color that we normally aren't aware of but shows up in a photo. Usually, when you have your camera set on auto white balance, the camera can correct for it but if it can't, you can set the white balance for tungsten/indoor light.

White pictures when taking outside

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

What is and how do i adjust the white balnceon my fujitsu S550 digital camers?

Adjustment is in the menu screen, you shouldn't have to go very deep as it is a frequently adjusted setting.
White Balance is how the camera interprets white depending on ambient lighting. Have you ever noticed how when you are taking pictures inside at night and all of the light comes from lamps and the flash that your pictures have a yellow look? Take a picture under flourescent lamps and the pictures look different as well? How about outside? Best true color rendition on the picture taken outside, but different than the others.
White balance is a way for the photographer to adjust the tone of the picture to accurately reproduce the true colors seen in real life in the picture. Most cameras have an automatic white balance and they usually work fairly well. But for the best results, set it manually. Your whites will be white and skin tones appear accurate.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Blurry white image when pics are taken during broad daylight

Try first to reset your camera. Press the menu button, go over to setup, go down to reset, press the right arrow, highlight reset and press set. Don't worry it won't erase any of the pictures on your memory card. If that doesn't work you can try and manually set the white balance on your camera and I would recommend sending it into repairs if that doesn't work since it's taking nighttime pictures fine. :)

Looks like over exposure

Sounds like your camera is in manual mode. Manual mode is where you can change the settings like shutter speed, ISO, the appature size. If the appature is to wide (small number) and the shutter speed is to slow (low number like 1/20) you will have an over exsposed picture. You probobly need to put the camera back into auto mode. You may have switched the modes on accedent. The modes usualy say Auto, Macro, Manual, and movie. These are all the presets or the camera modes on your camera. If the camera is set right it will take good pictures inside but be white or over exsposed when taking any outside. Go into the menu and scroll over to the little red camera icon. See if its in manual or auto. Another thing to check is "EV" if its at +6 set it to 0 and try it if you cant find auto mode. S

White Balance

What is White Balance? The human eye captures white as white, red as red and blue as blue, regardless of whether you are outside under the sun or inside under incandescent lighting. Although this is something that we take for granted, the human eye actually adapts to correct the changes in color under different light sources. In reality, when light sources vary, colors caught as the reflection of those light sources also vary. For instance, films for cameras that use film are designed to capture the most appropriate coloring outside under the sun. Thus when you take pictures under incandescent or fluorescent lighting without using a flash, the colors in the resulting picture may seem strange. Digital camera and digital camcorders are equipped with a handy feature called "White Balance" that corrects the changes in color under different light sources, just like the human eye. One of the white balance settings, "Auto White Balance" (AWB) automatically adjusts to correct the changes in color under different light sources. White Balance and Coloring The White Balance feature on Canon digital cameras and camcorders is set to "Auto White Balance" at the time of purchase. If you prefer different coloring, if you want to adjust the coloring more in detail, or if you want to change the coloring on purpose, we recommend that you change the white balance setting.
