I have a Nikon D60 that is almost 2 years old and is working ok but when I connect up to my computer with the usb lead the computer won't recognise it and I cant download my photos. I have tried different leads but that doesn't work either

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

first check ur usb port that is it ok? sometimes some usb has problem when it become old. then check ur usb cable is that ok? if everything are ok then format ur pc and install usb 2 software for ur usb system. thanks

dont bother to connect camera to pc..just use the SD card reader...either external usb one or laptops internal one
