I have connected an onkyu c7030 cd player to my denon avrx2000 receiver and I cant get any sound how can I tell if the cd port on the receiver is working

Some receivers have the ability to turn ports off. Check this is not the case. Try another socket - say a tape or aux. The CD should play from any except one for a record deck. Don't plug it into one of them. Also check the connecting lead as they can cause a complete loss of signal.

Tip

Convert Records or tapes to MP3 songs connects to USB connection

I hav bout a urntable called ION PEOFILE Pro It connects to your USB connection and can rip your records or tapes to MP3 songs. It have an input for cassette tapes or 8 track tapes it also alows you to store them then in digital format. t can connec to 8 tracks cassentt tspes and has a plug in to plug into your sterero system and can paly records as well. You can connect it to your stero system and if yo have a mp3 device for your video recored you can recod music here as it has a volumr control as well. It uses software called aduacity that converts vinal taoe ti mp3's and ajudio converter that allows you to burn music in standard music format. This is an inexpensive set up and costs $79.00

Sound in only one speaker

With a music CD playing, and the volume on the SA-404 set to a lower (but audible) level, try the following steps while closely listening for music from the speaker that is not functioning (some crackling or screeching sounds may be heard when removing and reconnecting the cables).

Remove & reconnect the traditional RCA type audio cables that originate from the CD player at the connection point at the rear of the SA-404 several times. If the cables can be removed from the CD player, do it to that end too if no music is heard. If the audio cable is a single coaxial dolby digital type carefully do the same thing to it - at both ends if needed, too. The optical cables usually don't fail the way you describe so if they're being used it may be a problem with the CD player.

You might also try moving the RCA type cables to a different input (try TAPE or another available input) if the previous steps don't solve the problem. If the problem is present on the new input (TAPE or another available input), the issue lies with the cables or the CD player. Try connecting with NEW cables to the CD input. If still failing - try TAPE input again. If still not working, I would feel comfortable saying the CD player has some sort of problem.

Stuck dvd in the bose 321

Try unplugging the Bose system, then plug back in and press the eject button. This works for me.

VCR Won't Eject VHS Tape

Do not panic yet! Before doing anything else just unplug the unit for a time. On two different occasions I unplugged my TV/VCR combo, it reset itself and I could eject the tape. I do not know how much time is really necessary as I let mine sit overnite in those two instances.

So after much frustration the first time a tape stuck which included carefully opening the chassis to look for a twisted tape, sticky labels or loose parts in and around the metal cassette holder plates, I put it back together. Now I just unplug to reset.

I am not saying this will work in every instance, but give it a try first.

Flashing standby message.

Are any of the buttons not making a click feel when you press them like maybe one is stuck?? You didnt say if the same thing happen with the radio as did with the cd. If it is then a switch is stuck or bad or a problem with the switch matrix for the Microprocesor . Only way to trouble shoot this is I would use a scope and check all of the matrix {ie scann lines as well as input lines for distortion or noise and make sure when the buttons are pussed that they change and switch accordinly. If they dont then the processors bad. Good luck
