Question about Palm Treo 600 Handheld
When i touch my touch screen it does not respond to touch. I performed a hard reset and not i can't complete the reset because i can't get past the screen activation Sprint Treo 650 touch screen won't respond to touch. Screen comes and displays, however won't allow functions to be accessed. Have taken battery out and reset with no luck.
There's apparently no known software solution to the dead screen problem. However one can bypass the screen setup step by doing a warm reset. See:

Looking at this problem for how yo have described it, i would suggest to look carefully at the battery and ask yourself how old the entire unit is. It could be likely that the battery (even when fully charged) is not puting out enough power in order for the touch screen facility to work. If you have not already done so, then I reckon to give the phone a good charge and try again on a full battery, if this is still a no hoper, then your two choices are as follows.
1.Replace the battery with a brand spanking new one
2. Query, or at least consider the possibility of a fault with the touch screen itself.
Now should there be a fault with the touch screen itself, then rather try to repair the screen itself, it may just be a whole lot easier to find a replacement unit elsewhere and either fit it or have it fitted by someone in the know.
If you do decide to fit the replacement screen yorself, you will need to acquire some specialist tools, and MAPLINS (united kingdom company) will provide you the tools for about twenty quid (security bit set in a red box, and a ratchet screwdriver with bits), and you can go on the internet to find a nearest store by entering your postcode in the search for store location. Finding the screen is easy enough, either go to a mobile phone outlet that trades from the internet, or go to ebay, and you are sure to get a replacement unit from there. by going to http://www.google.com you will be able to get the disassembly guide for your product and by following the instructions, you will be able to do the job yourself and save a few quid.
Anyway, I can give you more helpful information, but i will need more in depth information relating to your problem, so anything else that you can accurately describe will be of massive benefit. Until then i hope that this is the best fixya for you, and wish you all of the best luck infixing your product,
kind regards and yours sincerely
