Question about liftmaster Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Transmitter 300MC

1 Answer

My Stanley 9600 opener will only work with the remote. Pressing the button in the garage, or jumping the terminals right at the two wires on the opener does nothing. This happened after an electrical storm. Also, any time I unplug it and plug it back in, it will close if it was already open, or open if it was already closed.

You have shorted out your logic board. This could of been prevented with a surge protector 900 joules or higher. Whether you repair or replace get one. Stanley went out of business but you may still be able to find replacement parts online. Thanks BB

Sears craftsman door opener 41a4315-7a will close with wallswitch if held opens with remote or wallswitch only what is its problem

I would guess someone jumped the 2nd and 3rd terminals on the motor housing unit to defeat the sensor controls. That jump wire may be loose or disconnected. That's why only holding wall switch makes it work.

My garage door opener opens with wall button but button must be held down until door touches floor to close. This unit is a liftmaster HBW0777 Model K1027 & does not have a sensor system

I think the issue is a missing sensor safety system. Try jumping a wire between terminals two and three. Then the wall button should work on a single short push.

General Garage Door, Telectron Remote Opener, Circa 1990

forget about that , that remote is done!, just go to sears or home depot or if you want ,from amazon ,a universal reciever and remote kit , they cost around 50 dollars and the reciever just has two bell wires connected to the machine terminal 1 and 2 dosent matter which way you wire it red to white or white to red , connect the two wires to the terminals in the reciever and the other end goes to the 1-2 terminals ON THE MACHINE FROM LEFT TO RIGHT THE FIRST TWO SCREWS you will see it because you already have two wires connected to it ,just add theese also and then plug the reciever in , you remote is already programmed from the factory so their is no programming ! Hope this helps you ,if you thoght i was helpful please leave a nice rating and thank you again Sincerely Glenn mayer

Remote does not open garage door

It sounds like the wall button has the lock feature engauged.

Is there a small green LED flashing inside the wall button?
Push and hold the lock button for about two seconds and the LED should stop flashing. This will unlock the garage door opener and your remotes should start working. You may have to reprogram your remotes and homelink again since you triedprograming in the lock mode.

Good luck.

  • Stuck remote control button. Check all remotes. check LED on receiver.
