First test your CPU then tast all leads that are attached to your hard drive sounds like a faulty lead of some sorts then
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
good luck

Hi.first you proceed safe mode and check for chance of virus removal if any. other wise try to select start operation with command prompts. Once after solving in any one these options, then think about starting up computer in regular mode. with respect to your statements, the reasons for failure are either virus attack or failure of installing of system file correctly. I hope you got somewhat solution.

Computer wont bootup windows xp error loading operating system drive 1 not found please help me

1.Restart your computer. Immediately after the screen goes blank for the first time, press the F8 key repeatedly. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If the menu does not appear, restart your computer and try again. Use the cursor keys on your keyboard (your mouse will not work) to select Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows XP attempts to start.

.
If you recently installed new hardware, shut down your computer and disconnect the hardware. Then, restart Windows XP and troubleshoot your hardware to get it working properly.
3.
Restart your computer and press F8 again. This time, choose Safe Mode and press ENTER. Windows XP attempts to start in Safe Mode, which does not automatically start programs and hardware, and displays very primitive graphics. If Windows XP starts successfully in Safe Mode, you can remove any programs or updates you have recently installed. Then, restart your computer normally.

Performing a repair installation of Windows XP can fix many serious startup problems. While you should not lose any of your important documents, you might lose settings, and you will need to reinstall many updates.
Before performing a repair installation of Windows XP, you should have both your Windows XP CD and your product key available.
To perform a repair installation of Windows XP
1.
Insert your Windows XP CD into your computer.
2.
Restart your computer. If prompted, press a key to start from the CD-ROM.
When the Welcome to Setup page appears, press ENTER on your keyboard.
On the Windows XP Licensing Agreement page, read the licensing agreement. Press the PAGE DOWN key to scroll to the bottom of the agreement. Then, press F8.
When prompted, press R to have Windows XP attempt to repair Windows by reinstalling important Windows components.
The repair and reinstallation process might take more than an hour. Eventually, Setup prompts you to answer questions just as if you were installing Windows XP for the first time. For detailed instructions, read Install Windows XP.

Windows xp tries to start in safe mode screen then as program starts gets brief blue screen then back to safe mode start selection screen once again this keeps repeating

your system will do this as it has shut itself down to protect itself, to make the blue screen stay on so you can write down the error code (e.g stop 0x0000007B),you need to choose the option of `disable automatic restart on sytem failure` (this will be on safe mode screen, reboot, then when you get the B.S.O.D it will stay on and display an error code, google it and you get the answer or post the code on here and i`ll tell you

No Dell Logo on the LCD screen while starting the computer

I would suggest you to try doing a BIOS default settings

Immediately after you start the computer start hitting F2( or Delete key in some systems), It will take you to BIOS. Just load the default settings for BIOS save settings and exit.

This should resolve your issue

Pc keeps loading and restarting again, it wont go past windows xp

I keep coming back to this, thinking about it, leaving and coming back to this. I have seen this before and the only thing that I could do to fix the issue was to do a Windows Repair using the original CD. The problem with this is it looks a little deciving and could be complicated. Put the CD in, accept the ULA and when it gives you the option to repair, hit R. Go through the prompts a little further. It will look like it is reinstalling Windows completely, but it is actually reloading just the system files that usually become curupt. When the system comes back up, it might look a little different, but all of your programs and files will still be there.

No Audio Output Device Installed

Hi

To immediately fix these errors in Vista, start the Windows Audio service as follows:
  1. Click Start c00834869.gif , and enter services.msc into the Start Search field.
  2. From the list of services, right-click Windows Audio and select Start . Figure 23: Starting the Windows Audio service c00847914.gif
  3. The message should no longer open. If the message opens again after the computer is restarted, repeat these steps, select Properties for Windows Audio and set Startup Type to Automatic.
If you have XP on the computer, then click Start-->Run and then type "services.msc" in the Run window and then click OK and once you get the Windows Services screen, follow the above steps.
If this doesnt work and the sound card is not onboard or integrated, then reseat the sound card preferably into a different slot and repeat the above steps.
