My Canon Power Shot A590s card is locked and I have absolutely no clue how to unlock it. Please help

Take out your SD card. SD cards have a small sliding switch on the side of the card. The switch moves up and down and is probably in the lock position. My Canon Power Shot A590s - 5748d99.jpg

The SD card may be locked, a small notch high on the left hand side of the card, moves between lock and unlock.

Screen says card locked. How to unlock it?

There will be a small slidable portion on the SD card. By moving it back and forth u can unlock and lock the card

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
