    Dear Mr Tthekraut,

Thanks for your comments.I think your advice applies more to a fairly modern tv such as the 4yr old Panasonic I also have-this has an extensive menu and a fairly complicated remote. The problemn child we are discussing is quite an old Sanyo(10-20 years)Model c25zg-51-Pal NTSC Playback VMT.We bought it 2nd hand and it has no manual..It has 5 buttons on the front-pushing the 2nd brings up tuning modes,e.g.,Manual,Semi and Auto. There are 3 frequency bands-Low,High and Uhf.So I have managed to tune it to different channels ,but the problemn is trying to allocate it to a number on the remote and lock it-its probably childs play to do this(if one has a manual!)

Maybe this will help you to help me-waiting in anticipation!

    Cheers John Powell.

Connect your Sanyo TV to your cable or satellite receiver if you have one, then turn the television on.

Press the channel button on your remote control as if you were trying to change the channel. A menu to initialize a channel search will appear; if not, press the "Menu" button on your remote control, and then select "Channel Search".

select "Auto" from the menu that appears. It will automatically how you are getting television. You can see this on the status bar that comes up on the TV. Du not turn the TV off or cut power off during this time.

press menu to taker it off the screen if the TV did not do so automatically. Try going through your channels.

Let me know if it gives you any trouble.

    Hello

Sorry for the late reply. I am still looking for a Manuel to get you going. I have a buddy that has a similar TV in his garage but the remote is different. I was able to track a manual on the internet but they want you to pay. When I unlocked the question has anyone else got anything for you??

Thanks and sorry for the late reply

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I manually tune my new talktalk remote control to my TV

Do a code search procedure. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Pull up older posts.

Lost remote cant tune tv in

To do an auto-tune, you should have its remote control. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls.Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability?Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual.Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.
