On some tvs you can use the cord that goes from the cpu to the moniter and use the tv like a monitor but for tvs that cant use that cord u need some special cord that hooks the cpu up to the tv like you would hook up a PS2 or some other video game to a tv. If this doesn't work and u want help from other ppl i sugest u specify what tv and pc ur using and if u mean using the tv like a monitor or having the monitor and the tv hooked up to the cpu

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I would like to connect my my hp laptop to my Sony Grand WEGA KDP-57WS550 57 in. Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television to watch netflix

You need to connect your PC to either your TV or your receiver. Also, if you have XBox, you can watch Netflix through it (thought I'd suggest, just in case).

Take your PC (or take a photo of your available outputs from your PC) and a photo of your available inputs (on your TV or receiver) to Best Buy or similar computer store. They can help you learn which connections you need.

Most likely you'll need a DVI to HDMI cable for video, and maybe a separate audio cable from your headphone connection on your PC to your TV (or receiver). You'll only need a separate cable for audio if your HDMI input on your TV does not support audio.

I am going through this same problem with my TV connecting Apple TV. I am checking now whether my old rear projection tv's HDMI input supports audio (same as yours). I've connected Apple TV to my rear projection TV. I have video, but no sound. Either my TV doesn't support HDMI audio, or I need to change a setting on the TV to enable that sound to work. If the TV does not support HDMI audio, I will need to connect Apple TV directly to my receiver via a digital optical cable for sound.

Hope this helps.

I want to connect my computer to the pioneer sd-643hd5 tv so I can view movies, pictures etc; The tv only has pin connections, cable connection, s-video connection, and a RGB port for HDTV broadcasting....

depending on the connections available on your pc, you can get a vga to rgb cable fairly cheap but I am not sure on how good the quality will be, same with the s-video connection. vga connections on the pc are usually blue in colour, if you have dvi connection you can get a similar cable to do the job. Most computers will auto sense the tv if you connect the cables with the pc switched off, make sure you are on the right channel on the tv and the switch on the pc.

hope this helps

I want to connect a PC (VGA connector) to a Hitachi projector TV (channel 1: DVI connection). I want to find out what do I have to change in TV settings (like input type) and how.

Not all DVI inputs are the same. Do you have the manual handy to see if it supports analog DVI?

If it does, you should be able to just use A VGA cable with DVI adapter from your computer to the TV, Select the DVI input on the TV, and make sure your computer display settings are correct (this depends on a few things, so if you need help with that please reply back with more detail about your PC setup)

How to connect loptop pc to Hitachi 42 inch LCD

Sounds to me like an audio 3.5mm jack to L-R phono leads. The single jack connector would need to go into your pc's line-out port on the soundcard and the red and white phono connections on the other end go to either your television or home theatre system.
