Re: Need FinePix S7000 Tripod
They [ cameras and tripods]all have a standard screw fitting. So all cameras will fit all tripods. The only factors therefore to consider is- weight[As it is a small digicam] you will not need a heavy weight one and the depth of your purse.
Best bet take the camera along to a store and try a few. If it is not to be a surprise take Hubby too to try them out for himself. ;-}

It's a little difficult with this camera since the slowest shutter speed is 3 secs. You need to have the timing right to get the best result:
Set mode dial to M, Select shutter speed with 4-way switch up and down : 3 secs. Now select Aperture: Hold down +/- button and select aperture with the same 4-way button, up and down. Choose F8, which is the smallest opening. You need to have the camera on a tripod when taking the picture. If the picture gets to dark, adjust the aperture. If it gets to light, you adjust the shutter speed, making the timing even more difficult.
Hi dear, You can download the user manual from (http://www.retrevo.com/support/FujiFilm-A330-Digital-Cameras-manual/id/200ci271/t/2/) 1. Open lens cover 2.Press "marco button" 3.The distance from 3.9in to 2.6ft is the best for marco 4. if you use flash ,it's better in between 1feet to 2.6ft 5. Try to use a tripod or place your arms on some solid object 6. Enjoy

Well, I think you have a problem because you cannot take still shots at night :) Not even with the best SLR. The camera as to get light to make the picture.
My advices are, not only use the tripod but when you shoot, but set the timer function so you don't touch the camera when it shoot's and use a high time of exposure like 2 or 5 seconds depending on the subject...
Make several experiences with low resolution and when you suceed, make it with a higher resolution
