Lost of red color from wii console

Console would not turn on one day so I sent it to an authorized repair center. When it was returned it had lost it's ability to produce at least the red colors. What has happened and what needs to be done?

I NEVER got the red light before. How does this work!!!

  • evildrago May 25, 2008

Wii drops the color red sometimes. Once it loses it, it is gone for a few days. First time, thought it might be heat, but I don't see how it keeps doing that if when cold still has issue.

When I turn off my Wii console, it doesn't go to a red color, the light turns yellow. There's no malfunction, except that the blue light turns on randomly as if I'm inserting a CD. Any idea of why the light doesn't turn red again when I shut it off?

The yellow light is not a malfunction. It means the WiiConnect24 is enabled and can receive messages. If you disable the WiiConnect24 and power off the Wii the red light will again display

Wii remote four lights solid

Sounds like it needs to be re synced with the system, Easy place batteries in Wiimote and turn on console press the red sync button in the back of the Wiimote and press the red sync button on the console it is now synced. If this fails it could be that the Wiimote has failed, if Wiimote had failed within warranty period of 90days from date of purchase return for repair or replacement if it is after warranty period discard and replace with a new Wiimote.

I just recently move my entertainment center around and plug all of including the Wii console. so when i put everything back, plug them all in the Wii console did not work... I thought i meight have...

It's very possible. If you plug in the power source for you Wii and no light comes on at the power button for the Wii, it is a problem with the power cord. If not, it may be a problem with the Wii itself. Test this out to see whether you need to get a new power cord or to have you Wii sent in for repair.

After a power outage, my wii will not turn on

You can try a new AC adapter. If that does not work,it will need to be repaired by a Nintendo authorized center.(I used to work at one).If you do by a new one PLEASE buy Nintendo brand. The "off" brands usually end up in some kind of problem down the road.
Good luck and agme on!

Yellow light on wii

It's just the way the wii works. Hold the power button for about 5 seconds and the power button will go red and turn off instead of going yellow and going into standby mode.

Hi,

Here are few Home remedies that should help you fix the issue. If you still face any problems then it is an internal issue with your remote and you will have to contact the nintendo support.
  1. Clean the Wii remote pointer lens. Use a soft cloth to remove any sticky substances. Wii remote jackets, stickers or other objects should not block the remote pointer lens, as it will cause characters to move erratically, disappear or remain off-center.

  2. Operate the Wii remote between three to eight feet away from the sensor. Otherwise, it will not perform properly.

  3. Note that infra-red lights from candles, toys, appliances, fireplaces and even sunlight may effect how the Wii remote performs. Try to remove or reduce infra-red interference from these sources when possible.

  4. Turn off or move wireless devices located near the Wii console. You may be experiencing radio frequency interference from other wireless devices.
  5. Check to see if anything is blocking the sensor. Clear objects away from the sensor and console to enable the remote to send a clear signal to the Wii system.
  6. Center the sensor bar directly below or above your television. Having the sensor off-center may cause the Wii remote to perform poorly.
Re-sync the Wii remote to the Wii system:
  1. Completely turn off the Wii system. Remove the batteries from the remote. Turn the power off on the Wii console. Unplug the unit from the wall. Wait five seconds and then replug the unit into the wall.

  2. Push the power button to turn on the Wii console. After the health and safety screen appears, open the small door on the front of the Wii console. Locate the red SYNC button. Push down on the SYNC button for fifteen seconds. This resets all previous SYNCS on the Wii system.

  3. Re-sync the Wii remote. Locate the red button on the remote control under the battery cover. Push and release this red button. The Wii remote should respond with blinking blue lights.

  4. Push and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console. Place the batteries back in the remote. When the remote is successfully re-synced, the LED light will remain lit.

  5. Repeat the re-syncing process with all other Wii remotes on this system.
Thank You

My hubby just gave me a wii . how do i connect it to the tv

Plug the red yellow and green plugs into the corrosponding color plug in your tv in "inputs". It may be in the back. Yellow is the video plug, red is the audio plug, and white is the mono plug. Plug the end of that into the Wii console. Finally, you mount the sensor bar on the top or below your tv. It has adheasive to make it stick. Center it in the middle of your tv. Plug it in and insert the Wii Sports disk. Change to the correct inputs for video games, I think Composite. That's all there is to it. Turn it on. A Wii scren should appear. Next you have to sync the remotes. The one that came with the game is done for you. With additional remotes you have to open the battery compartment on the remote and open the compartment on the Wii console. You have to press the red sync button at the same time on both items. Turn the remote on. The second remote should now work. Have fun with you Wii.

The power button turns green when turned on on my WII console. However, no image is seen on t.v. What can be the problem?

The power button turns from yellow to green. This is correct.
Verify the cable is plugged into the back of the Wii and the Red, White and Yellow connections are plugged into the corresponding places on the TV'
With your TV remote go through the "Inputs" on the TV to verify operation. If you still don't see anything, you should try it on another TV before returning the Wii for repair.
Good luck with this.

Wii standby light

To be precise, you can turn this option off from the Wii System settings -> Wii Connect 24 -> standby connection -> off

When this setting is swiched to off, your console shuts down entirely and there is a RED light on the power button. There will be no need to turn off the console pressing the power button.
