How do I cut an angle of 135

You would cut a 45 from the backside if the face side is to have a 135 degree cut. You will need trim up to the final cut.

Maybe this image will help explain it.

How to make your own PS2 stand at home and save money

How to make your own Playstation 2 stand at home and save $50.

Playstation accessories are expensive and games are even more expensive. Here is a cheap and fun way of making your own inexpensive PS2 stand.

The benefits of this stand are

1) It is light and robust and can be made under $3 or even less ( I really don't know what it would cost I built mine from stuff I had lying around.

2) It is stable and easily supports the weight of the Playstation 2 console without toppling over. This stand enables you to position your playstation in an upright position and helps you save space.

3) It ensures that there is adequate air flow all around your playstation console and keeps it cool. This allows you to game for longer periods of time without your console hanging due to overheating.

Materials that you will require to build your Playstation console stand

1) Phillips head screwdriver
2) Penknife
3) Base of a cd spindle box
4) Adult supervision (if your prone to injuring yourself)
5) One screw that will fit into the base of your PS2 console (check at your hardware store to ensure that it fits correctly and does not damage the threads of where it is supposed to fit.
6) One large metal washer ( inner hole of the washer needs to be small so that the screw can be tightened and doesn't pass through it)

Builing your Playstation 2 console stand

1) take the plastic base of the cd spindle. You need to cut out the pole on which the cd's are placed right at the base. You can do this easily with a pen knife or a hacksaw blade as the plastic is soft. (IMPORTANT: BE PATIENT WHILE CUTTING IT AS YOU COULD CUT RIGHT THROUGH IT AND DAMAGE YOUR BASE)

2) Once it is cut out you should have a hole in the center of the base.

3) Place your PS2 console in an upright position on this base and center it. If the edge of the base plate is elevated then make the appropriate marking and cut out that portion to ensure that the PS2 console fits snugly into it.

4) Now simply use the washer and the screw to fix the base plate to the PS2 console and your done.

5) Place the Console in an upright position and connect all you cables

How to cut wood trim corner angles ?

It's generally easiest not to figure them at all - prop them in their intended position (although usually upside-down) to make the cut. Doing that eliminates any need for a compound miter saw. That assumes you're talking about crown molding. If you just want the angles for flat moldings, then remember that a square corner equals 90 degrees. Split that corner in half to make a miter joint, and you'll want 45 degrees. If you're making a half-round corner with three pieces, split the 90 degrees by three (the number of pieces) and you get 30 degrees each.

It does get a little more complicated if you're meeting one thickness molding with a completely different thickness molding - then sometimes the easiest thing to do is not miter at all, but make a "coped joint".

TV tilts forward on base about 15 degrees, TV will pivot left or right but won't remain perpendicular or upright.

The only things I could think of causing this would be either the hardware not tightened up properly or defective base (stand.) Make sure all the screws are tightened securely in the bottom of the base and in the back of the tv where the base attaches. Someone may have used the wrong screw holes to attach the base but there really should only be 4 holes to use to screw the base to the tv. This may need returend to the retailer for an exchance of the base.
  1. Oh, the last thing to check is that someone did not put the base on in reverse. Most have a small alightment tab that makes sure the front of the base goes to the front of the tv and if it is put on backwards the tv would tilt forward a few degrees.

I have to install the crown molding around a wall that has an octagonal shape so some of the corner are larger than 90 degrees

Michael, I understand the angles, but you haven't asked a question. But I'll guess and continue... Cutting the angles you need will not be any problem, since they will be about halfway between a 45 degree cut and a straight (that's zero or 90 degrees depending on how you look at it). But the other consideration is that inside corner cuts on trim are done much better if you cope them (this still involves using a miter saw.) Guessing a bit further, you might not know how to do that. Just Google - how to cope trim. There are lots of article and videos on this. Good luck, Al K

Can the dewalt 705 cut a 45 for a corner on crown molding? It'll cut a 45, just not the 45 cross ways for the moldings to come together at the corner. Any thoughts if we are lacking tools?

it seems that you are not "bedding" the molding up properly in the saw.

imagine the saw being the ceiling and the fence being the wall.

Hold the molding in the saw the way it would be installed, with the base being the ceiling and the fence being the wall

Swing the saw to a 45 degree angle and make the cut.

When cuuting crown molding for an inside corner cope on a compound miter saw ,what degrees do i set the saw

Hello. thanks for choosing fixya. Here is the best way to do an inside corner:
For an inside corner joint, square-cut the first piece of molding and **** it tight into corner.
1. Miter-cut the second piece to 45 degrees.
2. Highlight the leading edge of the molding with a pencil.
3. Cut along leading edge with a coping saw.
4. Smooth the cut edge with 100-grit sandpaper to create a tight joint

The table binds when I rotate it to change miter settings. When I cut miters(45 degree) I'm not getting straight cuts along the edge. The saw is on a plywood base mounted to a Dewalt miter saw stand. I...

Could be the wear plates under the table between it and the base. Or if it doesn't have any then the two mating surfaces are dry and rubbing causing this problem I would suggest going to and typing in your model number and downloading a breakdown for the tool. To remove the table on most saws you have to remove the fence and that requires that you square everything up upon disassembly. Let me know and I will try and help further. By the way to clean the parts I use a surface conditioner with something like a scrubbing pad and then after everyting clean use a dry silicone lubricant or equivelant.

I have a Dyson DC14..I was vacuming and when I stopped the vacum would not stand wouldn't click in the stationary poistion. When I turned it on all the suction is coming from the hose even though it...

Yes! Stand behind the machine. Hold the handle at about 45 degree angle. Remove the airway inspection valve (press the yellow release button that's between the right wheel and the clear bin and then just pull away that curved piece of plastic pipe). Inside, where that pipe plugs in, you will see a square plastic molding that should slide up and down. Push that square piece upwards until it snaps in to place. The machine will then stand upright.
I value your feedback so please remember to rate this response.  Good luck!
