My easy share lens got damaged and i never used it. i got a raw deal i suppose, take care of your cam., and keep it in the recommended kroo case

This error is due to some fault in alignment of the lens. This is a hardware problem. Hence, i will recommend you to take it to nearest service center and hand over it to some technical expert guys. Trying to resolve it on your own might worsen the issue.

Try helping the camera to retract using your fingers while you turn camera off, try also helping lens to full extent if they don't.if you do not succeed in this simple way the camera lens must be taken apart and reassembled at a repair shop.
