Question about Logitech X-530 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

I'm not too sure if this is supposed to happen, if this is common, etc etc but one of my speakers seem to be playing the news, speaking in some arabian language and weird stuff like that. The speakers are configured right, and I'm not sure how to stop it (Apart from unplugging it). Help?

It`s normal,it happened to me too,it seems like the speaker system has some parts that recive radio signals. I recommend to move the system away from metal objects. Ex: Radiators, bed with metal frame, metal chairs, etc.

I have a pioneer vsx 818 v amp, when I set it up we get noise / beeps etc from the surround sound speakers but then when playing a film in 5.1 we get no sound from the surround speaks ..driving me nuts !...

Hello,
To get sound out of your surround speakers, first off go through the receiver setup and make sure that is correct. Also, usually the best soundfields to use for sourround sound is PLII Movie or dolby digital. Next , make sure the source you are viewing is capable of outputting 5.1 sourround sound. Lastly, it is a good thing to remember that sourround speakers are only intended to reproduce sound effects. You certainly can override it so that all speakers play full range audio, but that is not the intention.
Good Luck

No English language on DVD 's

Bought a new unit. The old unit was a surround sound system in which the previous owner removed the speakers. I wasn't aware of the problem but found out that it would not allow it to play on Dolby 5.1...It would only play DVD's on channel 2, therefore no english etc. Thanks for your help!!!

People can hear me speak but I can't hear them

Sound inducers do go bad. Normal the same audio amplifier is used for both the ear piece and the speaker. Since the speak does work, it sounds like the ear piece has died.

Whenever a little bass sound - explosions, gunfire, helicopter blades, etc., ''PROTECTOR'' flashes on LED and shuts down receiver. Seems to happen more frequently lately. Subwoofer cable sturdy, no...

The protection feature on these units will shut off the receiver when there is too much power draw or when a speaker wire is touching another wire. First, check all of your speaker connections and make sure the wires are nicely twisted and inserted into the speaker and receiver with no stray wires touching. Secondly, if this doesn't correct the problem, try going into your speaker settings menu on your receiver and select "small" for each speaker. Let your sub handle the bass. The sub cable should have no effect on the protection feature of the receiver. The speaker wires, however, are the most common culprit of a receiver turning off (protector). Hope this helps.

Won't play silver disk

Even though I can't go into it on this post due to the nature of the beast so to speak but your problem is the potentiometer pot on the back of the PS2 laser lens (The one dealing with DVD adjustment). This is a common problem due to either one of two things. 1.) alot of movement of your PS2 (ie taking it to a friends house, car rides, shaking, dropping, etc etc etc.) or 2.) A lot of usage.

In either case what is happening is the potentiometer on the back of the lens has moved out of correct alignment.

In english? Your laser lens's laser beam is not producing enough energy to read the disk correctly.

So it has to be reset back to its factory position. Check this site it will help you out.

Surround sound distortion

Receivers like this will incorrectly decode rear channel audio and pass it on to the rear channels as distorted audio. Make sure the source being used really has rear channel information encoded into it. It could have other issues but check this first.
