Question about Mitsubishi WS-55613 55" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

We get picture but none of the buttons work on the tv. we cannot turn up volume or switch devices. The power and device button are the only two buttons that work. Hitting the device button just cycles through the options because the enter button doesn't work. The remote doesn't work. Its a Model WS-65511 HDTV 1080 Series.

The device button also works. The model is WS-55613. How do you do the hard reset?

  • gpaulin72 Sep 04, 2010

The remote doesn't work. I typed the "MENU, 0,3,7,0 enter" on the mistsubishi remote. Nothing happened

  • gpaulin72 Sep 05, 2010

I tried it both ways. The TV is not responding to the remote.

  • gpaulin72 Sep 05, 2010

The remote is the original Mitsubishi. TV is selected. Just put new batteries in. The remote controls auxiliary equipment such as stereo. It turns stereo on but not TV. Is there another way to reset? The hole in front doesn't help.

There are two ways around this--the model may have a keyboard lock which would block everything except power button.

Other choice may be better: set has "Option" menu in a hidden place---it is a hard reset of the set to the original condition when new in the box.

If you want to know how to do the Hard reset confirm actual model number and rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

That is the access code for the option menu, did anything appear on screen when you did it? There should have been a box with option listed.

SD TECH----TRY ALSO NOT USING MENU EITHER AT THE BEGINNING OR AT THE END--THIS SET HAS THIS FEATURE.

You may have a bad remote, check batteries, check to make sure on remote TV is selected, not something else---you must have the original Mitsubishi remote (or one similar) to do this.

Look for loose contacts in power outlet, RC Jacks, sockets, cables. Change input device to some other like a DVD that you are sure works. Swith off TV, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.

Hey there, I've tried programming my large BrookStone television remote with many different online methods, but none of the different solutions are helpful to my TV remote. Do you have any advice?

If the codes do not work then the only other option is to do the following steps to PowerScan through the remotes codes to see which one will work. If none work then the remote does not accept your tv.

Step 1: Manually turn off the device you wish to program (TV, VCR, DVD)

Step 2: Press and hold the appropriate device key (TV, VCR, DVD) until the red LED illuminates. This indicates that the remote is in programming mode.

Step 3: Press and release the power button. The LED flashes once and stays ON. Indicating that the remote is in PowerScan mode.

Step 4: Press either CH+ or CH- button repeatedly until the device switches on. The CH+ button searches upward in the code list while the CH- button searches downward.

Step 5: When the device turns on, press and release the OK button to store the new code and exit.
NOTE: If you press the CH+ or CH- again after the device turns on, the device will not be programmed and you will need to repeat steps 1 - 5.

Step 6: Press any other operable button (VOL+ or VOL-). If the device responds,

We cannot get the remote to program with our sanyo tv

If you have tried all the codes and none of them work your last option is to try a PowerScan. Steps are below.

If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond then repeat steps 1 - 5.

Dish network code for a viore, volume/power not working

You can power scan for the code.
Turn ON the electronic device you want to program the remote to control.
Press the Mode button( sat,tv,dvd, aux) on the remote until the appropriate mode light is flashing.

Press the Power button. The mode light will stop flashing and stay lit.
Press the Up or Down arrow button to set the remote to the next code. The Down arrow button scans backward and the Up arrow button scans forward.
When the correct code is reached, the device (whether a TV, VCR, or other) will turn off.

Press the pound key button to store the code in the remote control memory. If the code is valid for your remote, the mode light will blink 3 times.
Turn the device back ON by pressing the Power button.
Press sat mode key once you power back on the tv to be able to operate the receiver box.
Try some other functions to make sure you have the correct code. Occasionally the Power button may work when others do not.
If the other buttons work you are finished.

.
If the other buttons do not work, repeat the previous steps. The scan will resume from the last code stored.
The mode light will flash rapidly when the scan has returned to the starting point and all codes have been tested for that mode. The remote control may not control some device models.

    Time TV

By saying that volume and picture controls work, do you mean you can access the TV's onscreen menu? If so, you may need to re-scan for available channels if you are using the TV's internal tuner. If the memory of those channels has been lost, the TV does not know where to "look" for a signal. You may also need to perform a power drain:

    1. Unplug the product's power cable so that the device is not grounded to the house. Do not simply turn off the power-bar if one is in use.
    2. Press and hold in the products power button for 1 minute to release the retained electricity from the capacitors and circuit board.
    3. Plug the product back into the wall outlet rather than a power-bar to rule it out of contributing to the problem and turn the device back on. After this step, try the channel scan again if it didn't resolve the issue the first time.

I am having problems programming the remote

Programming a GE Universal Remote Control takes about seven steps. Step One: Manually turn on the device you wish to program. Step Two: Press the Code Search button on the remote until the indicator light turns on. Step Three: Release the Code Search button. Step Four: Press and release the button for the device you are programming. Step Five: Enter the three-digit code for the device using the number buttons on the remote. After the code is entered, the indicator light turns off. Step Six: Aim the remote at the device and press the power button. The device should turn off. Step Seven: Press Channel Up on the remote with the device on. If the device responds, no further programming is required. To look up a device code to enter directly into the remote, visit the GE Remote Code Locator Website. http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/dow... http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/dow...
