Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Power the laptop off.
Blow compressed air behind the keys, or hold down some and jam the bristles of a brush under the faulty keys.
Didn't fix it?
OK plug in an external keyboard.
No issue typing with an external keyboard? You need to replace the laptop keyboard.
Issues with external keyboard too? (remember try all the ports if it's USB; check Bios if it's PS/2 and make sure the PS/2 port is enabled!!!)...you have a faulty chip on the motherboard. Sell the laptop for parts (it's cheaper usually than replacing the motherboard on these older models that still fetch decent prices on ebay).
