Question about HP Pavilion ze1250 Notebook

1 Answer

Usb I have a HP ze1250 notebook and the usb ports are not working. We tried reinstalling drivers and everything else. After 2 hours online with HP support they said that I needed to update my bios. In order for me to do this i have to download it to a floppy. My comp. does not have a floppy drive and a external floppy drive needs a usb port to run. Can I install a internal floppy drivein this notebook? This is the only way that I can think of how to do a bios update.

Lost Live TV after windows 7 Utimate system reinstall

is the usb connector and aerial all connected properly?

did the device driver install properly?

is ur computer PICKING UP ur Aerial and usb connector device?

is it classified as "Unknown" in device manager?

-- Uninstall ur TV Drivers, Reinstall ur TV Drivers, Restart ur computer, check all the use cables DONT use any usb adapters that would require more power for the usb and aerial. (i,e, use 1 single port not a 3 port adapter with the aerial attached) MAKE SURE its away from anything magnetic or electrical (fridges, tvs, radios)

Try again. if it worked before theres no reason why it shouldnt work now, think about what u have done differently -- how could it affect it now? how could that make a difference?

if nothing. its probably just ur drivers.

All USB Ports are not working in HP pavilion dv6226us laptop

First, try checking the USB Ports of the Notebook by connecting different devices to it.
If none of the Devices are detected, try following the steps to uninstall and reinstall the USB devices from the Device Manager :
Press hold the Start Menu and the R key.
This will get the Run command box.
Type devmgmt.msc in this window and click on Ok button.
The Device Manager window opens.
In this, click on the + mark next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Right click on each entry under this and select Delete/Remove.
Repeate this steps untill there are no entries left under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Now, after all the entries are deleted, restart the Notebook and cancel any window that tries to install any Drivers.
Now, download the latest Chipset Drivers from the link below :

Save the Drivers in the Notebook and double click to install.
Restart the Notebook once the installation is completed.
Check by connecting any USB Device to the Notebook.
If the issue with the USB Devices persists, try installing the relevent update from the link below for 32 Bit and 64 Bit Vista :

If the issue still persists even after installing the relevent update, try performing Windows Update after connecting the USB Device to the Notebook by visiting the link below :

Hope this resolves the issue with USB Devices in your Notebook.

USB Ports do not work.

Remove the drivers then shut down your computer wait 30 secs then turn it on.Windows will reinstall the drivers. They may have become corrupted. If they still won't work try updating the drivers! You can try updating the drivers first and if that doesn't work ,do the remove and restart your computer!
To remove or un- install the drivers right click on "My Computer" and select properties.then device manager.Finf the usb ports and uninstall them then restart your computer! For more info go to the USB maufacture's website
