Question about Homelite Mighty Lite Lawn Trimmer
I have one of these. The mix is 25 to 1. Before starting use the primer bulb to get fuel through; it says to turn the choke to limit the flow, but I've found mine starts easier with the choke open. To start, flick to on/start position, hold the (safety switch?) flush with the spine, and give it a yank.

I have been told these are very good all round weed eaters.I have been told by my neighbour that owns a morrison weedeater that the mix is 25-1. As for starting procedures put the choke on once it fires take it off and pull it till it goes

The Manual says 30:1 fuel mix.
- Place on firm, flat surface. Check fuel and fuel cap.
- When starting cold use a bit of choke (does seem to start either without any choke)
- Slide ignition switch away from stop position
- hold down the safety and throttle levers and press the starter button (the one that locks the two others from moving)
- Grip firmly and yank on the starter rope.
That's a little abridged but basically what the book says. Now, has anyone replaced the nylon spool? The manual doesn't make much sense in that area...

I am unfamiliar with this "Kiwi" brand, but that is OK. You can't go wrong with a 40:1 (3.2 ounce/ US gallon) mix. Use synthetic and add gas stabilizer to the mix if possible. Not much info on these machines. Please vote on this solution.
