SOURCE: the cursor on my laser wireless mouse won't move

You need to sync the mouse with the USB receiver. They'll be a similar button on the receiver. Push both at the same time.

SOURCE: the wireless mouse works but the laser 5000

press connect on the wireless device...let go and then within 5 seconds press the button on the bottom of the keyboard. Repeat the same steps for the mouse whther its working or not. The problem usually is that the keyboard and mouse are on the same "Wireless Channel" and only resyncing them puts them on a seperate channel, hope this helps.

Mouse with its own mind

If the mouse has a ball, it probably needs cleaned along with the wheels inside behind the ball. Always do all maintanance with the mouse unplugged from the computer. You can see them when you take the ball out. Typicaly, you twist the cap holding the ball in and it just falls out. At this point, you can clean the ball with a mild cleaner and the wheels inside the mouse with a pencil eraser, pocket knife or a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol.

If it's an optical mouse (red or blue laser under the mouse) simply clean where the laser light is. If this does not work, then plug the mouse into another USB port. If that does not work, then restart the computer properly (not hard or soft reset). That should fix it. If not then the mouse probably is bad.
Good luck!

I use a MAC g4 with a logitec v470 connected by bluetooth. It has worked fine. It has new batteries. When I turn it on the blue light comes on for two seconds and then goes off.

Things to check:

MOUSE
1. That the Bluetooth is synchronised with your MAC.

MAC
1. That the Bluetooth is turned ON.
2. Discoverable is enabled.

Let me know how you go, if this doesn't solve the problem and I will assist you further. Regards,

The red laser pointer underneath the mouse isn't coming on? put new batteries in and the receiver is showing the green light once plugged into my laptop.

I doubt the problem is the battery. I have this same mouse and it has worked beautifully for two years now EXCEPT for one problem: most of the time, the mouse does not turn on when the receiver is removed from the receptacle on the bottom of the mouse. There is a tiny little switch built into that receptacle, along the side wall of the receptacle not far from the light. I have to wiggle this little switch (gently!) by hand a few times until the light comes on. From that point, the mouse will work fine until the receiver is placed back in the receptacle.

Make sure that the switch on the mouse is ON. Try another battery. If you get the same problem, you need to contact the manufacturer or the reseller for RMA.

Wireless mouse not working

Try to replace the batteries in it. It may be acting strange due to low batteries. If this does not help you try testing out on another system and post results.
