SOURCE: Homelite leaf blower bogs down.

I don't mean to over simplify this, but are you using fresh gas? Gas blowers are extremely ticky when it comes to gas. They like it SUPER fresh. And while the gas and oil mixture should be right, it can be off a little bit and still run. Try draining all of the gas out, and then filling up with fresh mix. This is ALWAYS my first step with gas blowers, and it fixes the problem 75% of the time. Also make sure your spark plug is clean. If you are not sure, a new plug couldn't hurt.
Hope this helps!!

SOURCE: can't start my leaf blower

You might have damaged the "spring re-wind" or the cord is jambed. If you know how to disassemble the housing (see owner's manual), then check to see if the cord is stuck, then manually re-wind it and pull it slowly and then let it rewind slowly. Do not attempt to remove the spring housing unless you have several hours to spare to rewind the spring, as it will "unspring" with great force - all over the place. Zing! The only other solution, of course, is to take it back to Sears for repair. Yuck. Have had several in the shop for other reasons that couldn't be easily DIY repaired - time after time.

Most ****-smen products cause more headaches than they prompt smiles of joy. I have pretty much determined that the manufacturers of ****-smen (who ever they are) plan it that way. Most home-owner products of this sort only last for 3-4 years, if you're lucky. I have also tried other brands; none are much to rave about. You could always do what I do, if I don't have any warrantee time left, or an extended agreement; give it a nice funeral (or run over it with a tank and send the remains to the CEO of Sears) and spend the money for a new one (any brand - even Craps-men) or use a rake..... :(

If you do get it to work, try pulling the cord with less force and NEVER let it "spring back" by letting go of the handle. Let is rewind as you hold it. GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: craftsman leaf blower/vacuum

I have a Craftsman and you should have a separate attachment to it. Your motor will turn the same, instead of pushing air out the pipe, you will draw air in through the air intake.

SOURCE: runs fine &then suddenly stops

IN the tank there is a intake tube on the bottem of that tube is a tiny filter. you can reach in and pull it out the tank enough to work on it.
It is clogged pull it off let it dry for a day and then blow it clean fron the gas line side OUT.

I have a Craftsman 4 cycle Leaf Blower Model 316.794830. It starts up fine a little slow to warm up then blow for about 2-3 minutes slows down and quits and stops.

The carburettor may need to be adjusted. The tool for this is not readily available, so I suggest to take it to a lawnmower centre.

Common carb problem, sometimes the fuel hoses need replacement. Clean carb with carb cleaner. Be sure to remember where all parts go. Get a repair kit, very cheap, clean out all ports with brass or steel bristle or something small. Put back on engine if still has problems replace carb it could be worn out

Plugged it in and it won't run but it was running fine when I put it away two weeks ago.

Check the plug for loose wire or at blower where wire it enters to make sure the wire was not pulled and disconnected inside. If after looking and it is not a wire, check the brushes on the motor. They could be worn out or not making a good contact. Blow out brush housing and re-install brush sometimes this works. That's about all I can think of unless there is a safety switch then check that. Good luck.

Briggs and Straton 8 hp, craftsman snowblower stalls

Sounds like you coil is over heating after running a few minutes. The windings are seperating, then when it sools they make contact again. Try replacing the coil.

Could be a blocked vent on your fuel tank - is there a vacuum in the fuel tank immediately after it stalls?
