This happened on my Toyota machine and because of this it would not sew. I ordered a new bobbin case as the old one was plastic and had become very worn. This seemed to correct the problem. Even if your machine takes metal bobbin cases, I would try replacing it with a new one and see if that helps.

The bobbin won't stay in place

Your bobbin is too short. The correct bobbin must be even with the bobbin case. If it is the bobbin case that is moving around then you must adjust the inner rotary hook bracket assy. It must allow the thread to move between the corner (near screw) and the bobbin casing. Rotate the hand wheel towards you to make sure the thread fits between the corner and the casing. Make it as tight as possible without a snag taking place.

Bobbin wont lock into place

Hello Lisa, There is a lever on the bobbin case that is spring loaded that secures the bobbin case to the shuttle or rotary hook, whichever you have. If you have the bobbin case in the correct position and the bobbin case pushes completely onto the stem of the shuttle but does not latch onto the stem to hold it in place, you may need a new bobbin case.

Underthread in sewing machine keeps breaking

I am assuming your talking about the bobbin thread, so that is
the information I am sending you
Bobbin thread breaks
1. There is a right way & wrong way to insert the bobbin in the case --when you insert the bobbin in if it doesn't stitch correctly turn the bobbin over see if that helps or bobbin case is not inserted correctly
2. Lint has collected in the bobbin holder
3. The bobbin is damaged & doesn't turn smoothly
4. Lower thread tension is two tight

The bobbin case on my t&s 758 keeps slipping. HELP! :)

make sure when you put the bobbin case in that the needle is all the way up. If it is down and in the way of the bobbing case, the case won't lock in place securely.

Bobbin case is turning

Make sure it is locked down, mine has a kind of a lever that opens when you pull the bobbin out to add the thread, then when you put the bobbin back in the case, you lock that lever down and make sure it fits correctly into the sewing machine and is locked into place. Hope this makes some kind of sense!

My needle has started hitting on the bobbin case in the mahine, can anyone tell me how to fix this problem.

Could be a couple of things:

Could be a bent needle? please change it for a sharp new one and make sure it goes in correctly, flat shank to the back.

Bobbin case dislodged or not in correctly ; I think these are vertical rotary hook machines with the bobbin inside a removeable bobbin case? Check that you have put the case in correctly, there is usually a long finger on the case that latches into a point on the rotary hook, holding the case in the correct position. Probably also a latch on the front of the bobbin case, which you use to fit it into place and remove it.

Lastly could be that the machine timing is out. Manually turn through a stitch sequence with no thread or bobbin, the needle needs to be at its lowest point down into the bobbin area when the rotary hook brings the thread around to catch at the back of the needle.

If you suspect it is the timing, you may want to get a technician to do this repair but certainly try the first two items first.

Cannot get the shuttle race and bobbin case in properly. It keeps falling out, and the foot will not go into the notch.

Will the shuttle lock in place without a bobbin inside?  If it does, look for thread in there, wrong bobbin, etc.  If it doesn't, maybe the shuttle is bent?  Really hard to tell without seeing it...  Hope this helps.

While sewing the bobbin case moves, wheel locks up, needle locks

Im not sure if this will help but thought I would pass it along. My Pfaff 6122 tells me to check bobbin for thread unrolling clockwise before you place it back in the machine. I had mine turned to un roll counter clockwise, this is wrong, the bobbin will fall out when you pull on the thread while you are holding it in your hand. You may just keep putting it in backwards. Hope this works for you. J.R.

Hole in bobbin casing

Go for it! Just sew very slowly at first, maybe just turn the handwheel by hand to make sure you don't toast the new bobbin case. If the new bobbin case doesn't fix the problem then you will need to take it in for service, it may need adjustments that most people dont' know how to do.
good luck!
