Question about Samsung CLP 300 Laser Printer

New black ink but faded

Just bought this printer and this is my first time changing the black ink. It's printing like there is little ink. It shows in the printer prompt that it's full of ink, help?

    Same here. Printer told me black was low, so I changed the toner, and now it prints faded streaks.

    I just changed the black ink for the second time and it is printing only faintly in spots. There are vertical lines down the page that have almost no ink. HELP!

This is an ongoing problem with the CLP300 it requires according to SAMSUNG a new black developer installed which is a really fiddley job and a firmware, (to version 35) ,upgrade if this does not work the whole OPC needs replacing.

    This is caused by the black developer roller in the OPC drum unit it has a fix but you have to purchase a black developer roller from samsung and do the job yourself ,it is not difficult but look it up on the internet or i will give further details. There is also a frimware upgrade to version 35 this is at the top of your config page, you have to hold the raedy button down for 10 secs to get config page. The upgrade can be downloaded from the Samsung web page www.samsung.com and follow the prompts for the CLP 300, it is fixable but if you don't do this the problem will never go away unless you buy a a new blavck developer roller or a new OPC drum which is very expensive.

I have had the same problem and if you are in the UK phone Sansung helpline see technical support on the website and as they have done with me arrange for the optical printing unit to be replace under the warrenty - only took 2 day to arrange and it has a 3 day completion time on it - my advice if you have done around 5000 pagers of printing or less get intouch with sansung direct and ask them to replace under the warrenty- to find out all the operational information your printer is set up with
1 open the shortcut to the printer settings on the start bar
2 click printer settings
3 click the button that say 'print settings' botton right corner

Print keeps fading, even though using new ink


check your printer settings, make sure color only is not checked off, or if you mainly print black and white documents, you should have that option checked, you may have to go into advance printer options to do this.

HP officejet pro 8500 ink cartridge problem


Changing a printer cartridge is not complex but improper handling of the parts may damage the printer and the cartridge. If the user notices that while printing the ink comes out dry or faded, it may be time to change the ink or the toner. The user will know if it is time to change the toner because instead of a sharp image, one will get a faded image. It is time to change the ink cartridge when the printing comes out spotty or colors are used to replace others —for instance, blue for black or yellow for red. Remember, faded images signal the need to change the toner; spotty printing signals the need to change the ink cartridge get more help for change cartridge .

I have a brother MFC 3240C. My Black ink stopped printing(initially printed horizontal faded lines and gradually got worse), the other colors were printing fine. I tried cleaning numerous time( 50 -100 times over 1-2 weeks ). Still no improvement. The way I print now is:
1. I go to Printer Properties
2. Change Media type from "Plain Paper" to "Inkjet Paper".
3. Change Quality to "Photo".

This takes a long time to print 1-2 minutes per page. However, this works for me since this is my Home printer and use it for printing only few pages here are there.

My printer won't complete the cartridge alignment function. It only prints the first two bars and then stops. When printing the black cartridge looks faded and half printed lines across even though it is a...


My printer does the same thing. I changed the blank ink yesterday (the printer shows the black ink was low) however after trying and trying and not being able to complete the alignment I decided to change the color ink as well.
It worked. Printer works fine now. Sometimes the ink dries up and you have to change it even though you know it should last longer.

have you tried to using the head cleaning? It will clean the nozzles inside your printer. you can check your manual how to do it.

Poor printing


With printers $23 at Wally world these days its not fessible to repair this age of printer. The problem we have with customers here locally is the same thing. We ask them "How old is the ink?" They reply "Its new!" then come to find out later that its new to them cause they bought it 6 months ago and havent used it since. Well typically if this is a cartridge printer eg:the tank and head is one unit, change the blasck cart. IF it has seperate heads change the black print head it has probable reached the end of its life, but the thing with the heads is there typically $30-$70 each which its more feesible to go get a new unit.
