A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Restore factory settings

If the computer comes with a hidden partition that can restore factory settings, then typically, you will hit ALT + F10 or F11 or F12 (you will have to try them one at a time) tap whichever one you are trying as soon as you push the power button and keep tapping until it goes to a restore screen. If you give the make & model of the computer, I can give better instructions. Some computers don't have a restore partition on the hard drive, so this is not an option.

Do i press f10 on my pc to restor back to factory settings and if so ive tried this and it didnt work who can i wipe the pc back to original state.

Try CTRL F10 or ALT F10 or CTRL F11 or ALT F11. These are the typical keys used to get the hidden"Restore Partition" to boot to a menu that can help you backup, repair or restore to factory-delivered state. NOTE, restoring to a Factory Delivered State will WIPE OUT ALL YOUR DATA AND ANY APPLICATIONS YOU HAVE INSTALLED SINCE YOU GOT THE COMPUTER. THIS MAY include email in Outlook, Outlook Express, other non-web based email programs.
Also, not all computers come with the hidden restore partition, and you may have to find your collection of factory D's to do this.

My keyboard is typing numbers instead of alphabets

Hello abeebissa, First try hitting the FN(function key) + numlock, if that didnt help try FN + F11(have heard some models use this instead) If that doesnt work you can go to Programs>Acer >Acer eRecovery Management choose "yes" at the prompt then, a window gives you the options to Backup, Restore, Settings, or Help. Click on Restore. This will give you a choice of Completely Restore System to Factory Defaults, Restore Operating System and Retain User Data, or Reinstall Drivers or Applications. Pick Operating System and Retain User Data. Just follow instructions from there.

Blue screen when boots up how do i restore computer to factory settings

Start your Latitude and maybe a blue bar will appear at the top of the screen like: Inmediately you see this, try to press F11 to begin the restore utility. Or simply keep pressing this key just after you switch on the laptop.

I hope this helps. Thanks

I need to restore my Dell inspiron mini 1011 to factory settings. Ive tried F8, and ctr + f11. none of these work. anyone help?

Then definitely you dont have the Default partition on the computer.. If you are under Dell warranty call dell @ 18006249896.. They will give you a harddrive with the default partition.. Else try to get a USB CD drive from friends and reinstall the OS...

Restore factory settings without CD

Reboot your system . Press F11 when started . Generally F11 is for recovery to the factory settings . If there is any other option for recovery , select it . Your system will be booted to the factory image if tha is already stored on your system.

Factory restore for latitude c400

If you hit F11 you will get the restore option. Once this runs it will ask you whether you want to restore (which will keep your existing personal files) or format the drive to bring it back to factory settings, just as you received it without your added programs or files. You can cancel at any time before the format takes place, because formatting will erase everything before loading your new operating system. Hope this helps you.......
