Question about Computers & Internet
The monitor does not come on and when the cpu is turned on it beeps,I know it means something but ot enough to translate in to a dignosis.I just got the cpu back from repairing and reformatting the hard drive, and everything worked fine.
If there is long beep it means you have problem in your memory.

Is the screen completely dead?
If not then go tp the BIOS setup screen by pressing F1 or F10. Wait 5 seconds. Press the F5 key to restore the default settings of the BIOS. Press Enter to accept the change and wait five seconds. Press the F10 and then the Enter key to save the changes and exit from the BIOS.
If possible, connect the monitor to another computer that is known to work correctly. Connecting the monitor to a different computer helps determine if the problem is with the monitor or with the video display hardware (the video card).

Mine does the same thing...beeps and thats all. If I shut it off and wait for a couple of days it will work fine again.

Here are the bios beep codes:
1 long, 2 short
Video adapter error
Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly.
Repeating (endless loop)
Check for improperly seated or missing memory.
No video card or bad video RAM
Reseat or replace the video card.
High frequency beeeps while running
Check the CPU fan for proper operation. Check the case for proper air flow.
Either the CPU is not seated properly or the CPU is damaged. May also be due to excess heat. Check the CPU fan or BIOS settings for proper fan speed.
Check computer beeps and act according to suggestion
