I have a similar problem. In addition, I get shadows on the page. The same print comes out on of the page very lightly. Also, lots of smudging. I have this problem when I do labels and envelopes as well. I recently replaced the fuser and I though that I wouldn't have the problem anymore, but still do - not always. It's been very frustrating

I realized I didn't replace the fuser. I replaced the drum.

I'm sure you already know the answer to this, the fuser isn't getting hot enough - either the bulb or a thermistor is faulty.

I have a problem of when printing out that is only white paper that take it out even I changed new toner and no change . Pls u have any solution give me the solution .

For a laser printer, printing is a few steps:
* receiving the print-data (which seems to be working fine)
* putting an electrostatic charge on the drum, by using a laser to draw the print-image onto the drum (working?)
* forcing toner into contact with the drum, but only the "charged" part of the drum holds the ink (working?)
* using heat from the fuser-unit to "melt" the toner into the paper (working?)
* ejecting the paper

If the paper is warm, then the fuser is working.
If not, then your fuser needs replacing.

Either take the printer to a qualified printer technician, for professional trouble-shooting, or buy a replacement printer, and responsibly recycle the old printer.

What they mean by change Fuser?

There are a few more parts that are needed for a Laser printer to work than a inkjet. the fuser is a component that literally superheats the ink and "fuses" it with the paper once the powder in has been laid down. It needs to be replaced when it cant properly fuse anymore;
I reccomend you contact their tech support to properly resolve this issue

navigate here

https://www.brother-usa.com/Support/Default.aspx

down at the bottom where it says "contact customer service", select "Multi-function center (MFC and DCP series)" and give them a call.

Thanks,
Mike

Printed image repeats later

I have a Dell 5100CN, and believe that this problem is caused by the drum not releasing the full charge which holds the ink in place on the drum until the page is printed. After the image is transfered to the Drum, the 'Fuser' unit heats up the paper and pressure forces the paper against the drum to transfer the toner from the drum to the paper.

Since the Image is printing, and you are getting a ghost, I guess that the problem is most likely the 'Pressure Roller' or 'Heater' in the 'Fuser' unit.

Buying the Fuser unit from Dell could cost you around $200 from Dell, but I just found one on eBay for $129 Got to www.ebay.com and search for item number 190388919845

I highly recommend that you buy a new OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer (Genuine Dell)) 'Fuser Unit'

Good Luck

My printer produces banding on the left hand side of the paper when printing. It is as though stripes of black toner are not applied during the print and it creates the appearance of white stripes. I have...

It sounds like a few things could have happened.. Someone might have put a tyvek type paper in the machine that has partially fused to the FUSER. Or your Fuser is reaching the end of it useful life.

The Fuser is what puts the image/text on the paper.

Replacement of the fuser unit will correct this. The average price for a unit is 175-225 dollars + install.

When i use Hp Laserjet P1007 to print, on my page occur repeat the words of overlap and Blur with ink on paper. please help me solve this problem ->contact me at email address:levinh2585@yahoo.com...

You either have a bad toner cartridge or have a problem with the fusing assembly. If it's the fuser will need to have the fuser replaced.

Here's how to tell which it is. Measure the distance from the original image to the first time it repeats on the page.
30.8mm (1.21") = toner cartridge
76.3mm (3.0") = toner cartridge
41.0mm (1.61") = fuser
56.5mm (2.22") = fuser

Hope that helps you. :)

Ink transfer

Hi there have you tried changing the toner cartridge? if not please do so as this can sometimes cause this fault, but the most common cause is the fuser unit at the rear of the machine where the toner is welded to the paper. The top roller gets worn and causes the ghosting. The only way to stop this is to replace the fuser unit which you can purchase and is still cheaper than a new machine.

Thanks J

Ink toner problem?

No, that is not the ink, That is a fuser problem.
The fuser needs to be replaced.
It is a very easy repacement. Cost is between 170-200 dollars if you don't have a service agreement.
One of the two rollers in the fuser has a problem and is not making good enough contact to fuse the image.

There is no temperature setting for the fuser unit. Either your paper is too humid (it also curls when coming out of the unit). Or your fuser unit is bad.
