Selections on display not communicating to machine
One minute the machine was working fine...next minute the machine does not perform any functions selected and showing on display (i.e. stich length: display reads 2.5 actual stich length a 5-6, also dislplay reads "fix" or "stop" but machine doesn't tie off the thread as it should)

Sounds like the circuit board has gone bad. Suggest taking machine to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service.

hi if you have uninstalled the software completely then reinstalled it then the chances are that the creative unit has got a software problem this is something you cant do yourself as you will need special equipment and software to do this. Have you tried completely removing the software then reinstall from scratch also try resetting the unit by holding down the on off button for about 10 sec if this still dont solve your problem then it is somethig that needs sending off to be repaired as you cant get the software to install back on your unit. the problem wont be with the lead as you have repalced this. The only other problem you vould have is if something is jammed inside it. Have you also tried using the add new hardware function on your computer to see if the computer is picking up the device. Go into control panel then select add new hardware now let the comp search itself for the device when its finished scroll down the list and see if its listed if it is then you know the leads and ports are ok then select have disk insert disk and select ok this will install the correct software for the device that the comp has scanned for let me know what happens after doing this ok

Next select 'All machines' link at bottom of scroll bar on left and select your machine. You will then be taken to a page that will display a picture of your machine and various manuals available.
Check the Viking website to download the owner's manual for free. The manual will have instructions for threading the machine.
At bottom of the page select Machine Updates
Click on All Machines and select the Huskystar C20 machine.
The next page will display a picture of the machine and will have a link to Download the Manual.
Contrary to what Bernina has said about their software (Bernina Embroidery Software v5), that particular software CAN be installed AND ran in Windows 8 with no issues whatsoever. When you install it, it will perform normally (not go to a blue screen like Bernina says), then it will ask you to insert the dongle. After installation, go to the Bernina Embroidery icon and right click. Select troubleshoot compatibility. The computer will run a test to see what system you should run the software as. It should say Windows XP Service Pack 3. Select next. Now double click your Bernina software and it should start up fine. Hope this helped.
As far as I remember there was no function "Flip hor./ver." in Futura 1.0.0.x. You could upgrade your software to version 2.5.0.x which is working with ce100/200 sewing machine models and contains functionality as newer models have. In this software version you will find function "Flip" in the context menu of Select mode (select design or color blocks you'd like to mirror, click right mouse button and select in the menu "Flip horizontally" or "Flip vertically").
