Hi

Error F2 appears when there is something wrong with the keypad. Check that the keypad is firmly connected with the control board, then press Cancel, if error appears then you'll need to check the keypad. To resolve this issue disconnect the power to stove. Now gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide. Make sure that the cable is not cut and nothing is shorted on the keypad. Turn power back on to stove and observe. If the error is still there then you would need to replace the board. Hope this helps...

How do I turn the temp down after oven has been on for a while. 'Loc on' message is showing and will not allow me to turn oven on.

Can you provide some additional details to help me help you? What kind of stove (make/model) and does it have any kind of self clean mode?

Without knowing the above details generally speaking of the oven is already preheated, to change the temperature you would hit the bake/preheat button to then adjust temp up or down with a digital stove. The dial stove from is self explainatory!

That loc on message may be because you have a stove lock lever or feature that prevents the stove from being opened when enabled, or when the stove is self cleaning. This may prohibit the adjust meant of temperature when the lock is on, or the stove is running through the self clean..

Again all just a general thought without knowing the above information... if you can post back or let me know is this was helpful in anyway to you! Thanks!!

How turn off "loc" on whirlpool gold gas stove top?

The "LOC" code means that the control panel has been locked. This feature is useful when you clean the control panel, since only the Time and Timer Set and Timer Cancel buttons will respond. Since you didn't give the model of your range, I'll hope that your Whirlpool uses the following method to toggle the lock on and off. Press and hold the Start/Enter button until you hear a chime and see the LOC disappear. You'll need to hold the button for ~5 to 10 seconds. Repeating the press and hold should enable the feature. This works on the RBD245PDQ12 and related models.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of your unit if this doesn't work. I'll check if there is a different option to toggle the control lock. You can also look at the control panel for a button with a small font caption about locking the control.

My oven/stovetop isn't turning on, and it says "LOC" on the screen. Its like the stove won't ignite. What should I do?

To lock/unlock the controls: Turn all surface burners off.

Touch and hold the GAS/CONTROL LOCKOUT pad for 3 seconds until the display shows LOC.

To unlock the control, touch and hold the GAS/CONTROL LOCKOUT pad for 3 seconds until LOC disappears from the display.

The display shows "Loc" and the oven will not work. It earlier displayed E1 F5 and the door would not unlock. I unplugged the stove and plugged it back in, and the door openned. Now it displays "Loc" and...

sounds like the control panel may be locked, look for an icon that looks like a small padlock, push and hold it until the loc goes away, it says 3 seconds but 5-8 is more realistic. I hope this hepls

Whirlpool gold accubake system in loc mode cant get it off the ..

daddysgirl,  You do not indicate the model number or the age of the stove.  Early model self clean stoves used a 'oven lock door handle.'  Later model stoves do not use such a handle but is electronic. I believe this is the one that you own.  You also don't indicate it the door is indeed "LOCKED" or does the console just says that it is locked. If you press START... does the oven actually come on and heat to desired temperature?  If not... I believe that you have a touchpad control problem.  You can unplug your stove from the wall or turn off the stove's 220VAC 50 amp circuit breaker located in your main electrical panel. If possible leave off over nite and then reapply power the next morning.  If you still have the same oven contol problems, then you will have to replace your oven Electronic Control Module (ECM).  It sounds like the "touchpad" portion is defected but unfortunately it usually comes as a part of the ECM.  The oven ECM is very expensive ($150-275. retail) plus labor to install.  Hopes this helps you!  HandyHenry
