I figured it was bad. Question, oven is ten years old+ and we hate it. What about a replacement? A good brand to relpace with?

Call a repairman, its mainboard has died and must be replaced. It will be expensive, over $250, so be prepared.

Yes, replace it, finding parts for such an old unit will be impossible.
I'm using Electrolux and in the 2 years since i have it it has worked perfectly. Westinghouse and GE are also very reliable - yours has lasted 10 years. Just pick the one you like and remember that the price is a good indicator of the quality. Stay away from those made in Asia or south America.

How do I clear an error code FO on my GE oven

it usually means the touch pad or the oven control is defective.

Oven beeps and shows F7.

Hello,

These codes mean that the oven's electronic control has detected a condition it needs to check. When you see a code, follow these steps:
  • Press "Stop/Clear" to clear the display and stop the beeping.
  • Reprogram the oven.
  • If the code still displays, turn off the power to the oven at your breaker box and wait five minutes before turning it back on

thanks.

My oven has code Fo displayed. It began with a beeping. We turned off the breaker and turned it on again. The beeping continued. After several attempt the beeping has stopped but the code remains...

Hello, I had the same FO error. It turned out that the ribbon cable from the front panel was not making good contact where it mated with the circuit board. Remove ribbon cable and clean contacts on ribbon cable. Replace cable and problem should resolve.

Thanks

The F7 alert keeps flashing/beeping on my JKP27 GE electric double oven even after clearing it or cutting the power to the oven for a period of time. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Ya either have a stuck keypad or a bad oven control. To see what it is you push the clear/off pad, disconnect the ribbon from the control and wait 32 seconds, to see if the if the F-7 code occurs again, If it don't then bad keypad, if it does then bad control.

GE Profile oven beeps and displays FO

Your electronic oven control(clock) is bad and must be replaced.

The oven controls are not working. then FO shows

If your appliance is newer than 1996 F0 error code is a stuck key pad .
To verify turn off power and access the control panel and remove the ribbon connector that goes from key pad to control board .
Now restore power.
If the F0 code goes away you'll have to replace the key pad .
If it stays it means the control board is bad.

My GE oven wont stop beeping it has an FO on the screen. All the buttons will not press. I just bought the house and have no idea if its done this before. Please help!!!! Chelsea

F0 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.
