Fax problem Hi Good Day Sirs, We have problems with the fax, we cant somehow send and receive a fax and the real problem is i dont know where to start in trying to fix this problem. i was not the one who set up this device but the printer is working fine and the other features like scanning, copying. all laptop connected to it cant print. please help us sir .. We are connected to a network using 6 pc 4 laptop and 2 desktop. Were also connected to a voip phone system. Need help badly sir.. Thank You. Richard Juno healthcare

1.- Turn the machine On - Off
2.- Press the Fax function
3.-Press the automatic receiving switch to " on position "

This is a problem on ther side. A lot of high volume companys dont admit this, insurance order etc most use pc based fax products to filter junk this can also cause probs

I have a problem sending/receiving faxes. I have been trying to send a fax but it will not go through.

ringer volume can bi adjusted with volume key or with navigator kex by pressing up and down.if fax is not receiving just check fax receive mode .put iton fax only mode.by mian jee

check whether the auto answer is turned on...

either u have the button on the front panel of the printer itself "auto answer" or u will have it in the fax menu...

press the menu button and scroll down to fax setup or advanced fax setup, make sure the auto answer option is turned on....

I have the opposite problem, I can send but not receive! For sending, make sure your phone line is plugged into the "1-LINE" in the back of the machine, put your pages face up on the top of the machine, press the "FAX" button, type in the phone number and hit start. Maybe you've done this exactly and you have some sort of error?

Only real solution I know would be to get rid of Vonage. All experiences with Vonage has left a bad taste in my mouth. Regardless of your broadband speed, Vonage uses open internet and is subject to network problems. Fax's require Real-Time communication/transmission control, which is, thus far, not available with Vonage.
